If the government wants me to drive an EV, give me more of my paycheck back and I'll think about it. Otherwise, my 2008 antique gas guzzler is doing the job just fine.

Imagine trying to plug in while in NYC…it would be a nightmare!
  • The fact that those cars have been fully charged for days and no one has came by and picked them up is crazy

Here are my reasons for not wanting to buy an EV. 1.) The lack of infrastructure that supports EV chargers 2.) The long wait times for charging as opposed to a gasoline powered vehicle. And this isn’t taking into account charging at home (which will increase your electric bill) but on road trips. 5 minutes to fill is a full tank as opposed to over an hour to charge a nearly dead EV. 3.) The prices are awful, sure you can say they’re terrible in general because of the car market, but even taking that into account, they’re more expensive an equivalent gasoline car. 4.) This one is purely personal but I love the sound of internal combustion engines.

Hi. I’m an EV owner. I live in New York and worked in the city. One major ward off to possible EV buyers is insurance. I personally had heard potential buyer get their spot after waiting in line to buy one, to shy away from it after learning insurance is asking 3 to 5 time that of regular cars.

I like how you explained people don't drive cars in new york because electric bikes have taken over and made transportation so much easier in a congested city.

Instead of MANDATING by the government, is it better just let the consumers & the market to decide what is right for them???? What an insane idea right?! 😂

Every time I watch one of Cash’s videos I am left shaking my head and questioning why so many people want to live in NYC 🥺.

I live in a mountain area that can get very cold weather and significant snowfall. EV's suck in snow and cold.

TYPICAL NEW YORKERS - telling others to use EV while they don't
  • @timberwolfe1645
Lol!!! Climate change support does NOT equal EVs. 7 YEARS WORTH of CO2 driving CONDENSED to make 1 EV. Vs a gas car that runs reliably, fills up in 4 mins, and YOU HAVE PURE OWNERSHIP of your car vs. EV's where every minor issue demands RETURN TO VENDORS

About 20 years ago, city planners in Washington DC, New York City and others decided to discourage people from driving and to use public transportation instead. Many residential buildings were build without enough parking places. As a result now many city residents have no place to charge an EV even if they wish to have one

We live in the middle of nowhere Oregon. 30 miles to the nearest gas station. Hospital is 70 miles. County seat is 100 miles. We have no interest in an electric vehicle.
  • The problem with those E-bikes is that some landlords wont allow you to keep them in the building anymore because of the fire hazard and they're also high theft targets. Edited: to remove the "V" in EV
  • @ReymundoCortez
If you live a fast paced life, you can't waist more than 10 minutes to fill up your car.

I have a friend who works for the DMV in North Carolina, not only do you have to pass a state inspection, pay registration AND property tax (yes, vehicles are considered property in NC) YEARLY but you also have to pay a $150 EV fee YEARLY as well

Curbside charging is very problematic in NYC and other large cities. The chargers are made from Aluminum, copper, and steel -all very desirable metals that can be easily sold for scrap. Cordless angle grinders can quickly cut through these metals. Most U.S. cities are currently "soft on crime” which encourages theft.

The city is now saying lithium ion batteries from e-bikes and scooters are the #1 cause of fire deaths in the city and is asking residents and migrants not to leave their batteries charging overnight unmonitored.

My Gas guzzler V6 got me 7 hour straight on road and some fuel for visiting around my destination, filled again for returning, and home safe 😁

I was actually thinking about getting an ebike. I used to ride bicycles, but due to being disabled, I can no longer pedal. I gave up that idea, because I have no safe place to put it. They need to be kept quite some distance from, well, pretty much everything. I have no desire to burn my house down. So I bought a 1970s gas powered 2 stroke pedal moped. Lithium ion batteries are time bombs. They are going up in flames all over the world. hundreds of thousands of them. And if one bursts into flames in or close to your house, guess what? Bye bye house.
