I took that luffy look differently. He was ready to blast saturn away himself but then he sees how much bonny needs to be the one to get the hit so he stops his punch and goes on the defense for bonny. He lets bonny have her moment to say what she needs and for her to throw the punch with him supporting her. Its a great emotional intelligence moment for luffy

I'm probably overthinking, but I could feel how much Oda loves his daughters in this chpt, and Bonney's storyline in general. It's really nice.

Bonney’s vision of herself, Kuma, and Ginny together was heartbreaking. 💔

Luffy's moment with Bonney reminded me lot of Gohan and Goku defeating Cell. One young hero getting the centerpiece to defeat an evil monster while their mentor figure supports them. Also, it's very important that Luffy didn't name or add anything to that attack. Even if he did most of the damage, he let Bonney name that attack because it was her moment.

Its pretty naive of me to say this, after reading through 1121 chapters of One Piece multiple times now and witnessing Oda’s writing and character development first hand, but I did not think I would be this emotionally invested in Bonney’s story

This was a great chapter. Luffy group is fighting off Saturn. Luffy landed a punch on Saturn. The broadcast continues. As we get a cameo of Vivi and Shirahoshi as the two are still in shock from Vegapunk broadcast. We get another cameo of Conis and Aisa from Skypedia. As we get a cameo of Marco. As well, King and Pudding, who are locked up by Black Beard Pirates. Luffy and Bonney team up to fight Saturn. We get another cameo of Iceberg. As well as Cesar and Judge and Haredas from Weatheria, the island Kuma sent Nami. Luffy and Bonney continue to punch Saturn. As they sent Saturn flying. Vegapunk brings up Roger was closet to the truth. As we get another cameo of Rayleigh and Shakky. As we get a cameo of Pirate Island Hachinosu and Red Hair Pirates. As well as Cross Guild (Crocodile, Mihawk, and Buggy). And Navy Headquarters. As the chapter ends with Vegapunk stating fate, we will decide by whoever finds it the One Piece. You forgot that Catarina Devon touched Saturn so she's probably able to transform into him, so taking out the real Saturn once and for all (by falling into the ocean, why not) might play very well into Blackbeard's schemes.

My bet is, that the 4 other Elders will consume Saturn, calling him an Insect.

That last spread just oooooooozed with anticipation. The speech was getting a little drawn out but this just makes it feel epic. I can't wait!

Just wanna clear up in case you got confused over the man marked by flames and Sabo. Sabo is not being touted as the man marked by flames, he's being touted as the "Flame emperor" giving hope to the civilians and lighting a fire of rebellion under them. The man marked by flames is another person who Kidd brought up who at least knows where the final poneglyph is or probably has it/knows what it says.

That panel with Kuma's "smile" made me 😢. He got to see his baby girl get her own getback! That artwork is just perfect.

O I LOVED Bonney's punch, I can't wait to see what they do in the anime for like an impact frame or something for when she actually hits him in the face, I know the music's going to be swelling and it's going to have a very triumphant background soundtrack playing, of course but oh it was so good
