Eric please consider bringing the portal back when you can. I still re-watch episodes from time to time, the conversations you have and guests you invite create incomparably interesting experiences that make me feel intellectually engaged in a time of much isolation. Thank you for your incredible dedication!

What a time to be alive, boys. We were there, at the beginning of The Portal. Best of luck, Eric!

Really good point around 20 min mark- specialization makes it easier to lie since we no longer have the capacity to know everything in this info-saturated world.

I'm not sure about everyone else, but I really enjoy the video format. The additional stream of information makes the podcast more engaging and intimate. Please keep uploading to YouTube!

The Portal is a game changer. Thank you so much Eric and all of your team around you. The world needs this.

Embarrassed to say I’m back for another viewing of this one specific. Thank you for this content to our portal. 🤘😇🙏
  • ""By the age 25 I felt much less motivated then when I was 18"". THAT hit soooo hard.
  • Eric, since you're looking for dissident polymaths with a realistic view of our financial system, you should bring Catherine Austin Fitts on The Portal. She's the former Secretary of Housing for the Bush administration who underwent a paradigm shift after experiencing firsthand the high level fraud and corruption at the heart of our illusory economy. She's smart, heterodox, and most importantly, noble-hearted.

I've listened to this a few times. I really cant underscore enough, what an amazing conversation this is. Thank you, Mr. Weinstein.

What a civilized, intelligent, provocative conversation. I’m late to the party, but thank you.

Hey Eric, I'd like to suggest something: Let's add some topic stamps to the video version of your podcast episodes to increase the ability for viewers to compartmentalize the entire episode; e.g. for the first topic a nice little textbox interface showing that you and your guest are talking about x or making arguments about why y is better than w, and so on. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this video, no as much as how much I expect from future episodes. Cheers.

    >1:56 This proves we're not the same person >Never shows them both in the same frame, always alone with camera cuts Definitely the same person.

Listening to conversations of this quality is like oxygen straight to my brain, thank you so much guys!
  • Listening to Mr. Thiel's insights when they are extended non-expurgatorially is priceless. Thank you.
  • @jwelda1
Wooh! Hope Eric shoots up in the ranks fast. Most interesting person on the internet right now

If I knew there was a video component I would have waited for the YouTube drop before listening to the audio on iTunes. Oh well, I suppose I’ll just have to listen again.

I was pretty concerned with his caughing. Then I remembered it's 2019, not 2020
  • Hilarious to watch two brilliant, well-meaning, and honest intellectuals try to talk about what's wrong with the world, without touching on anything that could be called a "conspiracy theory!"
