In video you connect red and black to L1 and L2 witch are hot. Each wire provides 120v. You connect green wire as ground. Where does the neutral white wire connect ? I'm wiring a TECO E510 VFD. 240 volts single phase input power to power a 240 volt 3 phase motor.

would you please tell connections of 3 phase motor to vfd and how the speed of 3 phase motor is varied?

By grounding via cable to a ground star bar, does having the VFD case grounded to the control panel backer not cause a ground loop by having two grounds come from the drive?

I just added a VFD to an old CNC I have.  Its your Mitsubishi.  Thanks for showing how to get the main power cover off.  Now my problem is this.  The 4 lead wire that came off the spindle motor to the FWD rev relay only had the 3 power wires going between motor and controller.  The ground lead from the motor went straight to the grounding area of the enclosure.  Now my wire is not long enough to get to the VFD in the cabinet.  Is it good enough If I just run a grnd from the VFD to the grounding area of the cabinet?  Should I just say, start from the beginning and get a dedicated VFD to motor wire?  Wire would have to be about 8' long.

Please i want to buy single phase 2.2 kw vfd, will this run any 3 phase more below 2.2 kw, will some one advice, thanks great video, thanks for loading

The part I am getting tripped up on is how to wire in a switch to the line side going into the vfd so I do not have to leave it on constantly. From what I can gather I will need a DPST switch rated for the correct amperage but I can not seem to find any 2 articles or opinions that say this is the correct way to configure the switch. Some say that a switch will always burn out others say they have had a switch on theirs for ages. My manual does not list any control ports for a power switch and i I understand it correctly it goes as far as saying that a switch should not be used to control the run/stop of the drive. I take that to mean that you should not use a switch to put the unit under a load not just powering the unit on but I am admittedly getting a little cautious. Any guidance would be appreciated.
