Undertale - Epic Orchestral Medley [ Kāru ]

Even though I feel very burnt out, All in all I believe the end result was totally worth it! So here some facts about the project below! Fun Facts: - I did this entire orchestration in one single project file, hence it took a solid 1 minute to load the file, and another 4 minutes to load all the instruments/sfx due to the colossal nature of it. - I accidentally put "Bonetrousle" before "Sans." and I was too far into the production to switch the positions, so I came up with a creative way in the video to make use of it instead. - The 6 months of production included both Nugisdrawing and Alec8ter creating a list of potential OSTs I could cover, refining it until we had the final list which took a total of one month. - The exclamation mark in "Spear of Justice!" is intentional. - "Bergentrückung / ASGORE" was to orginally have badass german narration in it's intro stage but I couldn't find time to record my lines. - "Bonetrousle" was originally supposed to be a big band jazz orchestra version but it didn't work out too well. - "Heartache" took the longest to cover. - I aimed to make Your Best Nightmare's intro as nightmare fuel as possible. For the first part, I actually sampled a real recording of the infamous "Upsweep". It is an unexplained underwater acoustic recording by NOAA in 1991. To this day, the origin and what caused the sounds remains unknown. - "Your Best Nightmare" is the first time I utilized three-dimensional audio powered by DearReality! - "Your Best Nightmare" has morse code somewhere. Try to find it! - "Your Best Nightmare" originally had an even more terrifying laugh of Flowey that I edited with sound design and creative audio, yet it was so disturbing that even I decided to tone down it's rather horrific nature. - "Your Best Nightmare / Finale" uses a power drill as an instrument that I recorded whilst my room was being renovated. This track was the most challenging one in the medley which was partly inspired by DOOM's soundtrack. - "Megalovania" uses the largest amount of Jet Engines I have ever used in a single piece, with over five instances of it. - My personal favourite piece is actually "Spider Dance"! - Yes, I did incorporate some passages from Attack on Titan into ASGORE's theme! - Until this production began, I have never played or watched Undertale at all. Once I binged watched the game, I understood that I would never have given this medley proper justice if I didn't know the context of these tracks. Research is very important

Oh my gosh i love how Bonetrousle was made to sound so intimating and menacing, like a complete villan theme when in reality papyrus is completely harmless and a lovable boy

To me the BoneTrousle part represents how, at first, Frisk is kinda terrified, the start is a bit scary and off putting, but starts to calm down and become a bit more silly, like Frisk calming down and starting to enjoy the scene. The end still becomes absoluteky epic, like Frisk maybe starting to view Papyrus as very cool!

This version of Bonetrousle makes Papyrus sound like an actual threat, and not just a goofy guy

I got curious and decoded the message at 28:52 during your best nightmare it says 'I SHALL BE GOD' for anyone wondering Also this medley is amazing, great job to everyone involved!

The size of this project is incrompehensible. Can't wait to listen to it! EDIT: Having not even played Undertale, this medley is one of my favourite things ever. Everything from the orchestration to the visuals are gold, and its all 50 minutes long! Well done Kāru ♥
