Major global cyber outage hits airlines, banks and media outlets, impacting millions

Cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike suffered a major outage on Friday, the company told NBC, impacting businesses globally. Meanwhile, Microsoft’s cloud services were restored after they also suffered an outage on the same day. CNBC’s Karen Tso and Arjun Kharpal with the latest.

  • Long past time for gov & business to build backup systems hospitals , power plants and military should not be using private company electronics to control operations This should become election issue globally to have redundant systems in place Otherwise we will all be back to pencil & paper Best of luck to all affected
  • The premitive solution is simple: Crowdstrike pulls out the latest update from their repository. Every affected computer needs to be manually reverted back to its previous update via safe mode. Microsoft can do postmortem which would result in spanking the Crowdstrike. Big deal is insurance claims.

    Nah this doesnt make sense. No corporation is solely running a cloud set up. They all run hot-hot set ups with seperation of hardware being priority number 1.
