Ever wanted to take a close up look of all the repairs being done at a Jeep shop? In this video I convince my good friend Jerry from Shift Autowerx to take me around 20 different Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators, some stock, some built for hard core off-roading and some even for overlanding and share with me what problems they are having, the needed repairs or what aftermarket upgrades they are getting installed.

  • That last one with the missing rear end that came from the not reputable mechanic belongs to my Dad! Can’t tell you how happy we are to have it in good hands. Taking on a project like this, sight unseen, with potential unknown landmines can be a risk. Really appreciate it and so does my Dad! It’s been over a year sitting, so getting this project complete could be a great Father’s Day present!
  • Loved this one, please do more of these with Jerry. Like you, I like learning about the various Jeep issues and what to be on the look out for.
  • Need much more of these kinds of shows on jeep problems. Also knowing that there is an honest and experienced shop around the SD area is valuable info. Thanks this was great to see.
  • @srfsno_
Great vid. Would like to see a “prevention” video with Jerry. For example, “most common Jeep JL problems and how to prevent them”(if possible)
  • I might be one of those guys that couldn't wait for the warranty to run out on my JL. With so many issues with service at the dealership, I'm so glad to have found Shift Autowerks, thanks to Brad and TrailRecon. Jerry and his crew are my go to guys for all our Jeep repairs and service. 😉✌

This makes me appreciate my ol' reliable 4.0 TJ 🙂

Brad, Man you are sooo lucky to have this shop and Jerry and his crew available to work on your rigs knowing that they are experienced and trustworthy. I, like you, enjoy working on our 2015 JKU. Sometimes though you gotta take it to a professional. Jerry’s integrity stands out every time you feature him in one of your videos. Want to wish you safe travels in your journey north. Looking forward to the videos to come!

Loved hearing what is going on with the Jeeps in the shop! Thank you, Brad.
  • @underabigsky
He should absolutely have his own channel. A Jeep shop YT channel would be solid for people like me trying to learn!
  • Hey Brad, THIS IS AWESOME .... As someone who LOVES Jeeps but Owns (And LOVES) TACOS, I WILL one day have a Jeep as well, LOVE to hear Jerry talk about all the Jeep issues that are brought to him !!!! Its GREAT to know all this , And its also GREAT that you have someone like HIM as your mechanic Who is EXTREMELY Knowlegable, As well as being a BADASS Offroader !!! Guys like Him ( AND his crew) are Few and Far between !!!! You are TRULY lucky !!!!!! And WE are Truly lucky to have someone like YOU !!!
  • @coolyundo
Can’t believe he just walks through and remembers everything that’s wrong with all those jeeps. It means he’s in tune with his business and knows what’s going on.

Jerry is a great guy, he worked on my jeep, was honest and the work was done quickly. Glad to see his business is doing well and keeping him and his partners busy. Guess I better schedule the additional modifications I want done with him soon or it may be a while before he can fit me in his schedule. Thanks for sharing.

I was introduced to Shift Autowerx from one of your earlier videos. I've been going to them ever since and I couldn't be happier - very solid group there!
  • @seveydp
Thanks for an eye poping view of a good local mechanic shop. And a honest reality view of the propblem you can in counter with jeeps.
  • @MichaelKlusyk
Thank you Brad and Jerry for making and sharing this video! I recently had the clutch in my JK replaced and my mechanic refused to upgrade to a Centerforce. Also couldn’t diagnose a wandering/ twitchy steering issue. Everything in the steering has been upgraded and/or reinforced. I am even more convinced now that I need to make the 3 hour drive to Shift Autowerks and have my rig dialed in. Thank you again!
  • Quality work from a shop is hard to find these days, but they still exist. Thanks to you the word is getting out there to more people who may require this type of service. Thanks for another great video Brad . And good luck again on your upcoming adventure North 🤞
  • Awesome video as always Brad. Definitely like this type of content it so interesting as a fellow Jeep fan learning all about Jeep and all problems they have and learn how to fix them.
  • Jerry is the best! Love to see him on a regular rotation. Adventure with you, Jerry, and Marco would be epic.
