  • I'm just numb seeing that we lost Texas Raiders and her crew. Thoughts and prayers to everyone involved.
  • I've flown in that beautiful aircraft. I ran FBOs in Houston and El Paso and we hosted the Commemorative Air Force several times. I got to know these folks and their aircraft over the years. My thoughts and prayers are with the families.
  • My grandfather was a B17 navigator that flew the “big hump” in WW2. He was slated to be a pilot but then was passed over because his hearing wasn’t good enough. He always said the biggest worry was freezing to death at high altitudes because these planes weren’t pressurized or insulated. I was lucky enough to get him to tour a B17 with me and my father before he passed. God bless these men for their love of vintage aviation and keeping history alive. We must continue flying these planes to educate the future.

As an avid flight fan from Ireland I wish to pass on my condolences to all involved, the immediate flight crew families and friends of both aircraft also to the aviators who will remain flying in memory of those lost. This was a tragic accident witnessed by many many thousands of people both at the air display and who will still be viewing this here on YT for years to come. May your Souls Fly High and Soar above the Clouds from here to Eternity...R.I.P.

Such a tragedy. I saw this plane fly in Houston a few weeks before its loss. So sad to think such a beautiful plane and such good people are gone.

Very, very sad loss. We lost a WWII bomber in a tragic accident in Hartford,CT a few years ago. May God bless all involved.

I grew up loving vintage aircraft from WW2 mostly due to my dad who served in the Army Air Corps. My condolences to the families of the lost crew members.

So sad… these were extremely talented and good people volunteering their time and money to educate the public. Neither pilot saw each other and were doing as directed from the ground… horrible tragedy. I sat through the CAF P63 training class with this pilot, And knew this B17 crew. They will be missed.
  • Rip to all, horrid loss that will be felt at every texan airshow for the rest of my life
  • What a horrible loss. Condolences to the families, friends, and others who lived and worked alongside these wonderful folks.

I lived in east Dallas. I can’t tell you the amount of times growing up that I saw that plane flying overhead but it was always so cool and I’d always wave hoping they could see me. I was in shock watching that plane crash, it was a piece of my childhood dying. I hope the crew felt nothing and are still living their dreams in the air wherever their souls ended up. Cheers gentlemen this whiskey I’m sipping is in honor of y’all and the memories y’all left.
