Some KHOU 11 viewers have driven by CenterPoint’s staging sites for out-of-town crews wanting to know why so many trucks were parked and not out in the field.

Hope people don’t harass the workers — they are not the problem. There needs to be more organization from the top
  • @Netwt
Bet they still know how to get them bills out and autopays drafted in a timely manner with no delay.

I see no trucks in my neighborhood at all no work getting done still no power
  • @lowblueranger
They sit in the parking lot while my company makes me sweat in a shop with no electricity waiting for it to get turned on. Working 16 hours? But the first 6 is sitting idle? Poor management.

It’s funny how the VP is wearing a long sleeve and an undershirt, when it’s 100 plus heat. Dude is out of touch. His office must be freezing

There needs to be a criminal investigation of Centerpoint after this total failure
  • @Kevin-438
It’s still not enough. 12k workers for a city alone that is over 600 square miles!? Someone up top needs to be fired, major incompetence. CENTERPOINTLESS

To everyone complaining about the workers sitting in the trucks...As a retired lineman, it is not by their choice. It is frustrating to sit there doing nothing while daylight burns. Twice as much work can be accomplished during daylight as can be done at night. Many times I've sat in the truck waiting for a work order to only be given one shortly before it gets dark. Its not fun nor safe working in the dark.

Center Pointless has more excuses and no action. State investigation is needed and those in charge fired
  • @jrkorman
The BS is strong with this one!

I get that it’s not the workers fault, but centerpoint really has to be held accountable for the lack of preparation. We shouldn’t have to deal with power outages that last this long. Especially in summer. Stay safe everyone. Please make sure everyone around you is ok including yourself.

Sitting in trucks till noon but the construction workers in my new build neighborhood start work at 7am after a hurricane. Seems like they've been directed properly. Tired of Centerpoint and tired of sweating.

I drove around for 4 hours today hunting ice and gas. Didn't see not 1 Centerpoint employee, truck on the road or working on anything. This is absolutely ridiculous
  • @survivor5044
People continue to wait at home in 90-degree heat while they're sitting in the parking lot doing nothing!! There needs to be accountability at Center Point bc this is awful. It's not the first time this has happened!! Do your job!!
  • @JarrettBarker
It’s ridiculous, we’ve been lied to, there are hundreds of trucks sitting empty in Pearland and over 3/4 of us still do not have power. It’s a sham
  • @talega1
They got paid 6hr+ for nothing........ not the workers fault.......top and middle rotten/lazy ppl
  • @legittaco3870
Great job KHOU. Showing them their negligence is the best way to make them accountable!
  • @monikasturm2575
Should go quicker from here on out... Says by Sunday.... How the hell is that quicker? My cousin says there isn't enough damage out there to explain the outage. What's Ercot really up to? Finally getting that black out they wanted huh? Time for the FTC to get involved.

They can't do anything until trees are cleared. And maybe they're waiting on replacement parts. Maybe these crews have been up all night aand need a few hours of sleep. Dallas had a severe windstorm last month and people were without power for weeks for various reasons. And now people are complaining about where the tree trash is being placed. You'll never make everyone happy.
