This is a Die Cutting GAME CHANGER! ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Hi Crafty Friends!

I have a short video for you today and hopefully, it will change the way you use your die cuts when you have multiple colors of card stock. I don't like using anti-static powder on the back of tape when I group my die cuts together, so I found another way to keep like-colored dies together with tape and something you already have at home!

As I mention in the video, perhaps I've been hiding under a rock and many of you already do this, but I just tested it and love using my dies this way now. I don't really have a card tutorial to share but I have a card to show you using the new-to-me technique using these dies from Fantasy Flower from Alex Syberia Designs.

I wound up using just white card stock and used my new Ohuhu alcohol markers to color the floral die cuts. I used a beautiful glitter pen to color in the etched portions of the die cut pieces.

I hope you like this technique and give it a try.

Hi Crafty Friends! A lot of folks are mentioning they have no clue what Iโ€™m talking about when I mention people putting powder on the exposed tape. Jennifer McGuire demonstrates what Iโ€™m talking about in this video at the 6:35 minute mark: https://youtu.be/Tx2QmQ35k4k?si=iB-p1vt-SaApJ8k4 Let me know if you've tried this, too! Remember you can use other things like toilet tissue, paper towel, thin copy paper, gift wrapping tissue paper, napkins, tracing paper, to name a few. Thanks for watching and happy crafting!

I have been die cutting for 20 + years & watching many many videos but I have NOT seem this tip. Thank you so much for sharing. Game Changer!
  • @lauravargas2346
THANK YOU! all those tiny flowers and leaves! What a pain to remove them one by one and then they fall to the floor, etc. NOT ANY MORE - thanks to you! Yay!
  • @isabellebaudin5240
What I like also with your excellent tip is that you can keep the dies by colors for the next time. Thank you for sharing.
  • @zoedoodle9824
A huge thumbs up on this! I don't mind powder but I do hate trying to keep track of all the fiddly die set bits. I try to do several cards at a time and those little pieces fall into unknown places, never to be seen again. This keeps them together for die cutting and you only have to do it once! No more lost pieces! Thank you so much.

Kathya, this is new to me and I think itโ€™s awesome. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us.
  • @deniseburmester2304
I love that you store them with the tissue. Forever ready to go.
  • @mzp6620
I've seen dies taped together before, but like you-never with a buffer layer. Great idea, and thank you for sharing that. I love your card, it's gorgeous.
  • @sananasir1
Definitely not under a rock!! I saw somewhere the idea to use dryer sheets for the same purpose and didnโ€™t like it since the chemical coating stained the dies and die cuts!! You are a genius ๐Ÿ‘
  • @susanjerrell9220
We've all been under the same rock it seems. ๐Ÿ˜„
  • @tammygavazzi1143
I have been crafting since 1995, I have never seen this tip - what a time saver this will be when cutting dies. Thank you so much - off to try this now...๐Ÿ˜‚
  • @ariesgirl3444
What a great tip, I will do this with my dies as I need to use them. Thank you.
  • @myruffleddreams1906
I have never seen this technique. Wow this is going to make my diecutting life simpler and Iโ€™ve been doing paper crafts for over 15 years!
  • @deenamickelson2454
๐Ÿ˜ฎ You are a GENIUS!!! Not that I've ever used or seen anyone use powder, but what a brilliant way of not having to deal with tape, over and over again. Now I'm gonna have to die cut something tonight...
  • @klindstrom3762
This is a new one to me and a game changer too, particularly for some smaller die sets that I love, but have fiddly bits that keep getting separated. Thank you for this video!
  • @oraleeb.2072
I came across your channel by chance and Iโ€™m so glad I did! This is a game changer for me,too. I will be trying this next time I die cut my floral pieces. Thanks for sharing, Kathyโ€™s! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Iโ€™ve been card making about 2 1/2 yrs now & havenโ€™t seen this method. Wish lโ€™d of seen it yesterday as l spent all day cutting for a few different card designs. Iโ€™ve used parchment paper which helped on iddy biddy dies, but it goes everywhere & makes a huge mess. Your method is awesome for grouping dies & keeping them together after cutting. I wish more companies would group the tiny dies on one solid piece (as some have started doing), but your method here is awesome for giving the option to do this! Brilliant! So grateful you took the time to share it. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’–
