Am I the only one who started falling in love with the breakaways? Love that the hard work and pure bravery took them to the finish line before everyone.

I’m a 63yr old Aussie mum who so looks forward to the Tour every year. Even extending now to the Giro and the Vuelta, and some spring classics. This event is only second for me to our Australian Bathurst V8Supercar race every October. I tape every single stage of the Tour and have the past 5 years worth stored. Have never been to Europe so the amazing scenery and history is as much a part of the race for me as much as the cycling. Ooh I’m a happy bunny for the next 3 weeks 😊 So pleased for Bardet, especially on his last Tour de France!

Dynamic of cycling is so cool. Breakaways fighting to the very last second to hold off the Peleton, who almost always reel them back in, but when they aren’t able to, it creates a magical moment!
