After reading the Arabian Nights, Sonic falls asleep, only to be awoken by Shahra. She explains that Erazor is erasing the pages of the Arabian Nights and asks Sonic to help her, to which he agrees. He dons a ring that makes him Shahra's master and grants him the ability to ask for any wishes within her power; he then enters the book and the adventure begins.

47:37 again it's just the MOMENTS that make Sonic great...and moments like this that truly capture his personality. He isn't gloating over his victory here, he isn't being cocky. He's just.....done. He's almost disappointed in the Djinn's begging. It just says a lot about Sonic in so little screen time. I love it.

When I was a kid playing this for the first time, I thought Sonic's wish for a mountain of handkerchiefs at the end was unceremoniously cheesy. Now? It's still cheesy to me, but also kind of sweet, since he did understand that Shara loved Djinn and that she would need time to recover from his being banished.

I will give the genie credit for one thing, he made the easy going Sonic go absolutely ballistic. That is an achievement for sure.

Besides the terrible controls and the multiplayer being a half-baked version of Mario Party, I found this game to actually be pretty good. To me it's incredibly underrated. Plus, DARK SPINE SONIC!!!
