I don't like Facebook, but if you have a rabbit, being in a Rabbit Help & Advice type of group is PRICELESS for instant feedback and help should you have an emergency situation with your bun. Plus, I think the rabbit groups on there have some of the nicest people on the internet. 😊
  • There’s a happy medium between leaving the bunny in a playpen and letting them free roam all over the house. You can choose a room and let them free roam in there only. My bunny 🐰 has my office and the bathroom connected to it. She is super happy having her own space and being away from my dogs. Also I work from home, so I’m with her almost all day. Another tip: Bathroom mats. My bunny looooves a soft bathroom mat and they are super affordable. She especially loves memory foam ones from Walmart. Lol Bunnies are honestly so chill and low maintenance. Give them a piece of your fruit and let them play with a cardboard box, pet them and give them love and they’re happy as can be. ❤❤❤❤
  • It’s 6am and my rabbit has been free roam 24/7 since he was 7 weeks, he’s almost 3 years old now, he’s in my bed, we were cuddling and watching this then he got mad that I wouldn’t let him eat my phone charger so I’m getting the booty treatment now😂 I’m very proud to say that I’ve inspired my friends with bunnies to free roam, when they met my bunny they always ask “how is he so nice? My bunny never wants to cuddle or be pet for a long time” and I swear it’s because of free roaming. They feel like an equal and they can do their own thing when they want and if they feel like spending time with you they can come to you whenever. It’s hard if they’re in a cage because everyone wants to play with their bunny when they let them have roaming time but if they’re cooped up most of the time when they’re out they just want to do their own thing

Lorelei, you are a life saver! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. As a beginner rabbit owner, this is beyond helpful!!!

Ikea is the best place for flooring. They have huge woven mats for like $25-30 😊 they're perfect if you can't free roam for their pen and they're easy to wash
  • I've had a bit of a tricky go with my rabbit. I inheritated my rabbit from my baby sister who got tired of him. So I can't say enough how important it is to realize how long rabbits can live. My rabbit is now 9 years old, we're pretty sure and I've come across some challenges but I have so much love for Bambi that I think the challenges are totally worth it!!

This came out at the perfect time! I just adopted a bunny and I’m getting their set up all set before bringing them home :)

When i was younger, i always wanted a rabbit, but i hated the idea of leaving them outside in the cold and rain (from UK here). I randomly stumbled across your videos a few weeks ago, and i honestly never knew they could be indoor pets, or just how loving they are. I was always taught they live in a hutch and have basically no personality. I'm now looking into getting myself a house bunny in the future! Thank you so much for all the information @LennonTheBunny you've changed everything for me!
  • Hi there! I started House Rabbits for Beginners almost 2 years ago and we’re more than happy to advise people starting their bunny journey. We do our best to provide a judgement free zone and have great resources for people as well. Thank you Lennon for being the reason I started it.
  • I would also suggest, pet insurance. Its a life saver. My rabbit had a biopsy, then medication afterwards, and it was a lot of money, but having insurance towards that was a peace of mind. Its a payment a month, but when something happens to your pet, you know they're covered. :)

Omg I’m literally so happy. So I got my first ever rescue bunny a year ago, he was such a sweetheart. I was new to bunny owning and we didn’t get him a friend because of our experience level with rabbits, but my brother sent me a flyer for baby bunnies that needed a new home as a joke, and now I guess we are picking one up tomorrow

This girl that was in my class last year got a rabbit, and she said she is getting a rabbit and I told her to do research before getting a rabbit and she said ok but, she showed me her cage and her care and stuff… she clearly didn’t do her research 😶. I told her multiple times her care isn’t right and she needs to get a large Xpen (she had the smallest cage.) and her excuses were “I have 2 cats” and “I don’t have enough space for one”.. I kept telling her so many times and she didn’t listen. She had a salt lick, water bottle, bad toys, tiny hay rack, etc. I tried telling her all of those stuff was bad and she didn’t listen.
  • Crazy that a bunny has to be spayed or neutered to be litter box trained I feel like I got lucky with my bunny Oreo! I rescued him recently made a playpen which he loves and just recently let him free roam but he only wants to use his litter box! I used all of Lorelei's advise! 😀
  • Thanks for this! I haven’t full watched it, but I’ve been wanting to renovate my bunnies living space!
  • Hello from Oxford UK 🇬🇧 I have 3 indoor girls who have a 5 meter by 3 meter set up and 3 floors so if they want they look out of the window 🪟 I am spreading the message and love small pet select UK - bunnies don’t belong in cages !!!! ❤
  • @daisy.14
this is going to be SOOO helpful! especially to the people seeing if bunnies are right for them!
  • @TracyLynnAP
The shorter xpens are great for bunny proofing the walls, baseboards and cords. Just line the walls with them if you have a bunny who thinks the plastic corner and cord protectors are a great toy. Might not look great but I would rather protect the hard surfaces from chewing.
  • @rkenzie5235
I’ve had my bunnies for almost 6 months and I’m so happy I found your channel!! My bunnies are living their best, free roam life!
  • @Tenajeh
My freeroam bunny absolutely loves her digging box filled with lightly moist play sand. Ontop of the fun and exercise she has in there, it also helps to keep her nails trimmed. I have her for almost half a year now and occasionally check on them (she absolutely hates having her feet touched). But lucky for both of us, nailclipping has not been needed yet.
  • @peachkitsune
yay this is perfect timing! i’m going to meet some bunnies at my local bunny rescue on december 3rd! 💕🎀🐰
