Was on this med for over 2 decades. A self-employrd remodeler, specializing in kitchens and baths, I found myself looking for anything to go wrong on the job so I could quit and go home by noon. Was given Wellbutrin because "it has an energy component", per my Dr..I never noticed increased energy, but was surprised to find myself able to put in a full days work by the end of the first week. When a frustrating problem arose,, I simply solved it and kept working. Eventually decided to stop the med as no longer needed. Never lost much weight, but did stop a 51 year smoking habit. Today, as an 82yo widower, I have no motivation to do even simple tasks like shave and shower. Expecting new scrip for buproprion to arrive in mail this week, and pray that it works again, like it did back in 1992!

I've been taking Buproprion for over a year now to treat my Depression & ADHD (inattentive type) and I have to say I wish I had discovered this medication a decade ago. I was unaware of the appetite suppression side effect and finding that out is really helpful. Thanks for the detailed breakdown of this drug. ā¤
