Acrylic Tulip Painting Tutorial

Published 2015-05-22
This is a beginning acrylic painting tutorial. We will be blending colors, layering, and using a dark background to make our flower stand out. You will need acrylic paint; red, yellow, blue, black and white, a medium brush (or a fine tip and a medium bright or flat), a canvas, board or paper, prepared with white acrylic paint, some water, a plate or palette, and a rag or paper towel. Here are some links I mention in the video, enjoy!

Good video, but make sure that the palette does not block the brush while you are painting.

Just a basic question : why do artists keep the pallets so messy? Why don't they clean up after each time? Seems like sometimes the colors might get mixed up in there.
