  • I had kidney stones years ago and do not wish to experience this again. I started drinking a pressed lemon juice diluted in a quart gallon of water (1 liter) every day. I started in the morning with a glass and continued all day long. After one year I went to see the nephrologist for a checkup. He told me that my kidneys were now in the right size and working well. He added I do not know what you are doing, but it is working, and you do not need surgery anymore. After 8 years, I do not have experienced any kidney issues.
  • I had a swollen ankle and fatigue. Couldn’t climb stirs without palpitating. I went to the ER and was diagnosed acute heart failure due to unattended HBP. My BP was 198/120 at the time. Thank God after some medications I am now down to 138/74 and that has significantly improved my heart function. At the time my heart function was 30%. My last MRI on my heart now came out to improved to 45%. I’m hoping it gets better next time I go for test.
  • Lemons really work for this if anyone is wondering. I was having pain and was diagnoised with a stone. The Doctor told me that it was too big to pass on my own and that I would probably have to have it removed. I went home and squeezed several lemons into a gallon of water and drank the whole gallon in one day. I felt the stone come out and never had another issue.

In 2010 I was diagnosed with a 6 cm tumor on my right kidney. My treatment was radical nephrectomy (lab results stage 1 with clean edges, encapulated, and medium aggressive). Suddenly I found myself as a statistic having CKD stage 3, as I recall. Daily I measure and record my BP, watch my sodium intake, and down 2.5 mg enalapril mal. I do annual checkups with my primary physician and nephrologist (sharing my BP data for previous 12 months). He does the standard tests for creatinine and says I am doing very well even improving year to year in small increments because I seem to have additional capacity (I believe those were his most recent comments). I stay active, keep hydrated, and never have swelling. My health is fabulous, even better than before, so I feel very blessed. Oh...prayer and God played into my recovery and life since. I've never felt better and my appitite is great. Woohoo!
  • 29 years old born with damaged kidneys, 18 got my first kidney transplant, dialysis at 26, and just got second kidney transplant at 28 yeah definitely made me focus on staying as healthy as I can I don't want anyone to experience that at all it's draining and gets to a point to where you just want to give up so just take care of yourself people
  • My Daughter passed away in March 2022. After her passing my health took a turn for the worse. I am diabetic, after she passed my blood sugar levels were out of control. A1C has been as high as 14+. I have recently been diagnosed with high blood pressure, & my kidney function is low 36% and that is the function in both kidneys. I have had urinary tract infection, bladder and kidney infection. I take antibiotics and 3-4 days after I finish my antibiotics the infection is back. I have been hospitalized for mersa , pancreatitis, kidney stones and infections over the past year. I feel extremely tired, difficulty sleeping, nauseous after eating. I am seeing a nephrologist, urologist, and now a cardiologist. Thank you for ll your Information.
  • I'm a 77 year old American retired construction worker and I've had foamy urine all my life. I've had several physical exams during my lifetime and never once did they reveal that there was anything wrong with my kidneys. I've been drinking beer since I was sixteen years old and wine since I was thirty years old. and I had a physical in 2008 after which the doctor told me that I was in almost perfect health. She acted surprised about it actually.

I'm getting ready to possibly start dialysis when the time comes, I'm at stage 5 kidney failure. I feel doctors don't inform patients well about this issue for patients to take care of themselves. Telling us there's protein in the urine etc and not telling us why or how to avoid it doesn't help. Educating patients about their condition to me is the key. I've been managing my kidney issues with not much information from my doctors, my Dr. never really asked me the correct questions for me to know my kidneys were getting worse. until now that they're preparing me for dialysis I'm finally getting all the information I should've gotten when I started having issues. I learned a lot more watching this video today than all these past few year with my doctors it feels like they really don't care. Thank you for all the information you're sharing.

  • One major thing not mentioned in the dairy section of food not to be eaten in over large amounts is the phosphates in dairy foods. All dairy foods contain high amounts of "phosphates or phosphorus", which the kidneys have a very hard time filtering out. Those with CKD should NOT eat dairy, which includes, milk, milk products, such as cheese and ice cream. Also not mentioned are seeds and nuts. "Those with CKD should not eat any kinds of nuts or seeds because they contain "oxalates" which the kidney cannot filter out very well. A build up will also further increase kidney damage. Why these two items were not mentioned, I don't know. But avoid them. Especially food such as high grain or multi grain foods and breads, crackers and cereal.
