West Ham Transfer Strategy...PANIC Or PATIENCE?!

due to the change of style as a fan i accepted that would take time and a slow/bad start to the season. however the longer it takes to get in players it keeps extending how badly we start in my opinion.

The number of players other clubs have signed is irrelevant. Every club is different. We have lost Ogbonna, Johnson, Benrahma, Downes, Kehrer, Mubama & Nathan Trott. So 7 players out and only 3 in. A very good centre back in Kilman, a 3rd choice keeper to keep the homegrown numbers up and an 18 year who is totally unproven in this country or the PL. We have a broken captain, another CB who wants to leave, only ONE right back, 2 strikers who are 34 & 32 years old. Our only real CDM is injured and we only have Cornet to play on the left. It is the same circus EVERY single summer. I am panicking. J-Lo walked at Wolves due to broken promises. If Sullivan doesn't sanction deals for the players Tim and J-Lo want who's to say he won't walk again? I can see us starting the season against Villa with Areola, Coufal, Zouma, Kilman, Emerson, Soucek, JWP, Paqueta, Kudus, Bowen and Antonio

Aren’t they getting rid of players ? That can’t be too difficult …Ings,Soucek,Coronet,Zouma,JWP all will be deadweight with a new style of play

In advanced talks for Summerville, that will be a great signing. I think even we get Fullkrug we will buy Duran if Villa play ball. Defence is still looking in bad shape though.

It looks like the Summerville transfer is back on, so that signing alone would change the mood instantly

I would offer Leeds Cornet. That gives them a very balanced front 3 of Rutter, Gnoto and Cornet. Hopefully would leave us the money to get Duran over the line.

We need a lot more signings than most clubs with our oldest squad that switching completely to a different style that most are unsuited to that are here.

Nope, Summerville doesn't excite me. He improves us, but when you have that budget available, you have to make a statement on a CF. We always bottle it on strikers.

Not panicking, yet, but we need 3 players and have now wasted most of the preseason. Compound this with the fact we have a totally new coaching team and will be playing a new style we could be way behind other teams come kick off. We have once again shot ourselves in the foot.
