I just listened to your story video, Sir, you are an inspiration. I have been a nurse for 33years .. I have realize I CAN do it because my purpose is to ‘be present’ with the patient while they journey through what ever brought them into the system. Thank you Dr. Goobie. I loved all the teachings of Thich nhat Hanh who spoke openly on compassion for animals, the sentience of all living beings, and the importance of a vegan diet. You have an adorable little dog called Doobie, however how do you love one and eat another? In China they eat dogs, but at the same time will tell you that you in the west eat cow, and they are correct. If we want to raise our consciousness we need to stop paying for the murder of sentient beings and follow a lifestyle of karma less food then this poem can not only be understood but felt on a far deeper level.
