I love how COD and Halo fans used to bash each other and now they just want their games back

“No more ridiculous cartoony weapon skins” Boy that did not aged well 😭

Modern Warfare is far from perfect. But it’s the first time in a while where I felt like they were actually trying. You can tell the devs really did wanna blow it out of the park on this one and I can respect that. Some things were a great success, some not so much. The campaign was straight heat though.

As a kid growing up in the "Golden age" of COD(2006-2012), and then eventually moving onto other more intense franchises like Battlefield and such, I always wished COD would somehow find a way to balance their own style with innovations from other series. In my opinion, this game was exactly that, and it has been the best one since 2011 imo.

People saying that this game really is realistic and not just "forced controversial" are wrong. Real warfare and warzones are much, much WORSE. It is far more brutal, horrifying, and overall life-shortening than whatever you see here or in most media. It just goes to show how sheltered, unaware, and priveledged many of us can be: which is fine, the world shouldn't be experiencing shit like that in the first place. Like that one line said in John Wick 2: "If anything, the stories were watered down."

I almost wonder if what you were describing about the campaigns shock value almost making you “numb” to the controversial events that happen in the game was intentional, as maybe being a soldier seeing it over and over again you become numb after seeing devastating things, but who knows. The campaign was really good for sure, great vid!

I love that if you pay close attention at the begining of the game when Alex gets ambushed after he grabs the gas you can notice that Hadir is actually their as he has his AUG with him which he'll have in any mission (Excluding flashbacks) he appears in You could also get his AUG in Multiplayer as a blueprint reward for coming first in a gunfight tournimate

"It's like these maps spawn you 70+ metres away" Battlefield players: have you ever ran a mile before?
  • @jesperPLZ
That campaign ending though, knowing what we know now about MWII most likely coming this year, that campaign is going to be awesome
  • @Aseronios
I'm not saying this as an excuse for MW's map design. I think IW made these map realistic because they thought that people would work with each other, and be like "I'll check this corner, you check this one", you know. They should've added maps that don't have this realistic design, and made maps like this but for a "tactical realism" mode, for example.

I hate how you cannot defend Burger Town on Spec Ops
  • @maklavinas
    MW3 (2011) - “There’s a soldier in all of us”. MW (2019) - “There’s a camper in all of us”.
  • @danielduked
It's pretty satisfying to know how quickly the vast majority of these bugs, glitches, and lack of customization were fixed or changed into this game's life cycle. Every issue with Spec Ops, the multiplayer bugs/animations, character customizations, etc. were all fixed within the "honeymoon" stage of this game. Gotta give Vanguard some credit tho, we finally have a pause button in Zombies after only waiting five months! For real though, MW2019 has a superb campaign and multiplayer in my opinion. The amount of changes and fixes they made so early on shows how dedicated the team was to making a great game. This is probably the most fun, fast-paced, polished COD experience I've ever had since the MW2-BO2 era. Both Gunfight and Warzone (Verdansk) were truly amazing as well. Solid experience.
