Excellent video, I was looking for a refresher and this is great for both beginners and an update/refresher. Thank you!

I didn't know Wilford Brimley was so tech savvy! lol Great vid! Thanks!

This current version of Audacity has made it stupidly difficult to split tracks. Like, easy to do, just keeping the specific details concerning HOW to do it cloaked in secrecy. There should be a gigantic, obvious flashing button or a right-click option that just says "insert track break"... how difficult is that?

Very well tutorial , Thank you very much!

Hi everyone, I have a small voice sample, which I need to see whether matches to any part of a large recording. It's like trying to match a small part of a song to the song. How can I do that? Thanks in advance. Kind regards, Jess

So I'm new to this program? im using Audacity 3.3.2 my audacity window looks slightly different. I don't have project rate in the bottom left or anywhere else from what I can see. and theres no snap-to but there is a snap?
  • Can you export one audio file to multiple locations simultaneously in audacity? For example: I want to export an audio file to a flash drive, to my computer's hard drive, and to a cloud account.

How do you lower the recording level? It doesn’t let me do it but I can adjust the playback level, any help would be appreciated!

dang when I heard that voice I was like, "oh hell no I'm not going to learn anything" gracias, the lo agradezco
  • I having trouble taking my audio from my phone that I recorded and sending it to my email to clicking and dragging it into audacity it’s saying the m4a is an Advanced audio coding file. It says without the optional FFMPEG library audacity cannot open this type of file. Unless I convert it to a supported audio format such as a WAV or AIFF. I’m actually not sure what that means. Loved the video by the way!

Thanks. Easy to follow, informative video. Any ideas how to get the sound through headphones (wired, NOT Bluetooth)? I've tried selecting "external headphones" in three different ways - System Preferences (on my laptop), in Audacity Preferences>Audio Settings, and by clicking on Audio Setup>Playback Device but every time I press play I get an error pop-up. Absolutely infuriating! There MUST be a way to listen to your edits through headphones! Any help?
