How to become cool: Change hair to a lighter color and longer style Rip skirt while death metal plays in the background Boom. Instant cool.

One thing that really bothers me is that when he announces he’s in love with mal instead of his girlfriend who he’s like engaged to, no one gets mad and everyone cheers(NOT TO MENTION the fact that mal is seen as a villain JUST AS BAD AS HER MOTHER by the people), but in the other movie, when he announces his love for ANOTHER girl (love potion again) instead of mal, his new girlfriend, everyone is shocked and disappointed for some reason???

The descendants book is way different from the movie and is honestly much better and gets the villains right for the most part. The book does have Mal and Ben fall in love still, kinda, but it's through shared dreams they have where they interact and become friends. That's the entire reason why Ben wants the kids from the island to come to the mainland, so they can have a better life and decide for themselves if they want to be good or follow in their parents footsteps.
  • My biggest issue with the movie is that fact that the Core 4 just... don't wanna be villains. As someone who loves villains, them as unapologetic villains would have been so much cooler IMO.

I weirdly love this concept for a movie, imagine if it didn't have cheesy Disney writing... would that just be once upon a time?
  • I actually felt rlly bad for Audrey, they tried to make her the villain but honestly she just defended her right. Like this is an actual "villain" that did nothing wrong, not those kinds that had a tragic past and use it to justify their killings. Audrey was raised to be a princess, to be Ben's wife, she rlly truly loved him and then all of the sudden this purple-haired quirky edgy girl came outta nowhere, drugged her bf, stole him and her position, tried to destroy their whole country and free all the bad guys, but then her bf dumped her for that exact chick??? Everything shes done just went down the drain and shes the bad guy for being mad at the girl that pratically stole her life?? Imagine your whole life being ruined and somehow ur the villain bcuz ur mad and want ur life back??? I came from an abusive family and Audrey was clearly emotionally abused by her grandmother, she didnt even care about Audrey's feelings, all she did was complaining, shaming, criticising and guilt tripping Audrey. Her whole life the only goal she was forced to achieve is become a queen by Ben's side, imagine the pressure, she accepted her reality and tried to be a good, graceful princess and soon-to-be queen. But then suddenly her whole life got literally stolen, her bf dumped her, her position was replaced by this random evil but apparently not anymore edgy chick? and ppl expect her to be fine and supportive with it??? The ppl in the kingdom was hella two-faced too, they all workship and praise her while she was a queen-to-be, suddenly these cool colored hair "not like the other girls" came and everyone looks at her in disgust. Dont get me wrong i love Dove and Sofia but goddamn they did Audrey dirty

Mulan: joins army as a woman and single handedly saves her man her daughter: rips skirt to be cool

Even if I would have never thought to cast Kristin Chenoweth as Maleficent, she did slay in her own way. "Evil Like Me" is outrageously catchy and you can see she had fun with the role even if it doesn't really suit her on a technical level.
  • @StellaLoreley
One of the most impressive things about this, is that Ben’s actor is Australian and I would have never guessed
  • @coolkcroyale

Am I the only one who thinks how twisted the "Good Guys" must actually be when they brought the Villains who died in their Movies back to life just to strand them on a Island behind a Magical Barrier where they are slowly starving to Death again and can't use any Magic to try and potentially fix the situation. The Villains who already died were likely being punished in their respective afterlives anyway so why bring them back?
