Hey everyone, instead of the normal devlogs I put together this short summary of how I got into gamedev. I hope this is interesting and if you haven't already, consider subscribing :) The next video will be a normal devlog again.

As a software engineer I'm doing everything the exact oposite way you are :D The code being the easy part and graphics being the hard part... You are really artistically talented, love to follow your devlogs!
  • @calcite_dragon
I love this game concept, and the minimalistic art style is amazing.
  • @Danymok
My brother has been getting into Unity and is already making pretty cool projects. Seeing him, and these kinds of videos, makes me get an interest in it as well, but idk.

Hey, Add a bunny. The bunny cannot be killed, it just hops around, and exists. It would be fun to see people try and kill a bunny that cant die or attack.
  • That's Actually Quite Cool to Know how it all got into Developing games
  • @trevb1976
Your progress over the years is astounding. This new game you've been working on looks amazing and is just the sort of game I would love to play. I hope you keep at it.
  • @ChromaticRed
I'm so glad you found your game! One of the hardest part of making games today is making it interesting and if it's never done before, as some players sees something done before bland or a copycat while it's not really the developer's intention. I will continue to follow your devlogs!
  • @-nickdev
Super inspiring, I'm about a year and a half into my learning and it makes me feel a lot better about abandoning projects.
  • @yportne6410
That's awesome. Looks like it was a long journey but you've learned a lot! I'm currently on about my 15th overly-ambitious, doomed project but I hope I can finish something decent soon.

Hey Codeer, I wanted to thank you because your game dev series has kind of done to me what Swords 'N Magic and Stuff did to you, since I have started watching you I have focused a lot more on world design. I have especially worked on mimicking a similar grass effect like yours, because yours looks so good, and making lots of trees and rocks to scatter and add variety to any worlds I make. Cheers!
  • It’s crazy to see how far you’ve come. And very inspirational as well. Thank you for sharing!
  • @bodacious617
Ur game is so cool! You should make a video about how you named your shooter game. I would enjoy it, because you can’t keep calling it a shooter game!
  • @AndrewBrownK
Amazing how much history and experience goes into what looks like a relatively simple game. You make it look so easy, but it’s so much more than meets the eye
  • @milolouis
Congratulations on all the hard work. Great to see you confidently took small steps. I can code so I spent far too much time trying to get far too ambitious projects completed that would never be finished.
  • @Cjoudan
I've been struggling to get anywhere with my project. I'm glad you haven't given up and I love the asthetic and ideas you have for your current project. Don't give up!
  • @GamesBySaul
6 years, that's incredible! Loved hearing about how you started, think it's quite interesting to see how you love for drawing/modelling got you into making games :)
  • your story is very inspiring and to see how you have greatly improved over time also gives me some hope. i honestly think great thinks await you in this carrear path
  • @Someonner
Really appreciate. This shows how it take time and hard work to build a skill. All the best

This is very inspiring :) Cant wait to play Your game. I stayed on this channel, because it looked fresh, like nothing Ive seen before. Not many games use procedural animations and this seems to be just pure fun and calm game at the same time (maybe im wrong), but it for sure does inspire me a lot - not to make the same, but to try making something new and to not give up :) So thank You <3
