  • As a deaf person, this is one of the best videos I have seen. Without relying on verbal or written instructions, each step is very clearly demonstrated and each detail slowly and clearly shown. Thank you~!

This mask is so effective for people with asthma, I made this for my sister and now she can breath wearing this mask. Thank you!!
  • The music is so soothing, relaxing, fun and unintimidating. It encourages me to try, even when I feel inexperienced and lacking proper tools.
  • Thank you SO much for this life saving tutorial. I'm not an experienced seamstress, I tried it and succeeded, thanks! I have tried one other tutorial (not yours) and it did not work out well. This was was easy to follow, I felt empowered looking at my finished mask. I sewed mines with a needle & thread, no machine and it STILL came out PERFECT! I had a tape measure and a big, bulky level measure stick from my husband's tool kit to work with and this tutorial STILL worked out. The mask is very comfortable and does not touch my mouth and nose AND I can breathe. The measurements for the elastics don't hurt my ears, as well. Every little detail is complete. Also, I learned how to sew DARTS. Thanks! Oh, I have glasses and this mask does not fog up my lenses, even without a metal piece. The dart is enough and very comfortable.

I love the music, and your man hands on the sewing machine. We need more men sewing.

This was a lot of measuring and constantly double checking that I wasn't sewing the wrong thing...but the final product is amazing. My mom, who has asthma and gets anxiety from wearing a mask, finds this one the most tolerable. She said she actually doesn't mind wearing this style so I'll be making a lot more of them for her! Thank you very much. If I could make a suggestion, getting your camera closer to the fabric when you're tracing lines would be very helpful.

This has to be the best video I have seen. The instructions are so easy to follow, and to be free is amazing. Thank you for being so kind to share this with us.
  • @junemaeven
This is very generous of you to share your pattern and with such great instructions, thank you. I might sound dramatic but you really are saving lives by sharing your work. A million blessings to you.

Thank you so much!!!! I have made many styles of masks (some of them yours), and this one is by far the easiest to sew, after you do the math and marking, which is part of the fun for me. Instead of elastic, I cut t-shirt strips (1 1/2 inches wide), stretched them, and then sewed them in so that my husband can tie the mask behind his head to fit his face better. He has breathing problems, and other masks I've made are hard for him to breathe in. This one fits him perfectly (5' 10" and about 190 pounds), and he was very excited about how easy it is to breathe in. I asked him about including a nose wire in the next one, and he says this design doesn't need one. I do think that next time I will zig-zag the edges of the filter pocket so that it won't fray when I wash it. And I love your cat!!!!

Great draft and a perfect fit. Beginners who can sew straight lines, pivot and continue, this is the mask.
  • @MamaHarriet
Thank you for being one of the only YouTube mask crafters that actually shows what the mask looks like on the face! I made the first one and I like it. Will try this one now.
  • @karensilva720
Thank you for clear, easy to follow instructions. I love how it sits very well on the nose and cheeks.
  • I have tried EVERY pattern for masks. This one is the best of the best. The only modification is I make a half moon scallop with the mid point of 1/2 inch from the nose to the temple before turning right side out so it does not ride up under my eye as I wear glasses. I’ve made so many and people always compliment me and say how they like it.
  • @hannahdebs4616
Thank you, wore the one I made today and it felt like it wasn't there. I have asthma and hate usual masks but i could have kept this one on for longer!
  • @enricap7101
I have watched many of your mask videos, so I shouldn't be surprised at how clever the designs are. But every time, I am! Such a clever design, a pleasure to sew, and comfortable to wear.
  • @FT-yq4sk
The mask looked complicated, thankfully your demo is so detailed and smooth that I am able to follow! 👍👍💕
  • This looks great for people who struggle with having stuff over their mouth/nose, thanks for the tutorial!
  • @leeworrell3761
This is the most comfortable mask. I can actually breathe in it. Thanks so much.
