if anyone's wondering, this little tune is actually from franz shubert's stänchen (serenade). i'm so happy to see such a beautiful piece of classical music represented in this game- it fits as "bonnie's lullaby" wonderfully.

it's so hard listen to this song without remembering the person i used to be 7 years ago, i miss that time when i was addicted to playing FNAF, i miss the innocence, we lost it all when we grew up...

in 2023... i'm here with this masterpiece.... Fnaf raised my entire childhood, i could not forget this song!

This song is so utterly depressing, and beautiful at the same time. I always imagine Springtrap sitting in the boarded up safe room, his hands on his head, cursing himself for tearing the children away from their loving families, unable to help now. At the same time, I imagine Michael standing outside the burning building as the flames light the night sky an orange haze, and the souls of the children float away. I also get the feeling of a calm scenario. Where the children's souls are set free peacefully. No fire, no screaming, they just leave their animal masks on the ground, and float away, leaving the large birthday cake there, content with the world, and able to move on. This song reminds me of how sad and depressing the story is. Yet, it's beautiful at the same time, and it reminds me of my childhood as well, as the third game was one of my top favorites when it came out. I was rather young, under the age of ten. And it stuck with me as a depressing song, a song that reminded everyone of the horrible, horrible tragedy of the Freddy's pizza chain, and the slow descent into madness of William Afton, as he slowly abandons his family, his friends, his life, and becomes a crazed, murderous man, committing the worst sins imaginable, and staining his hands with the blood of the innocent, feeling no remorse or regret until it's much too late for him. This is an incredible and graceful piece of music, and I will always love this, despite it's music box-like simplicity. It's a masterpiece and I love it.

FNaF has such a unique "fever-dream" esque level of nostalgia that I feel like is rare elsewhere. I think it's because of how "90's" the entire game feels like, with the environments, lighting and 3D models that captures the nostalgia of many in a way we've never seen before, in no small part to the internet spreading it like wildfire towards even otherwise apathetic gamers. There's just nothing else that quite captures that same type of haunting yet beautiful stories in the same way.
  • A message to the newer fnaf fans: Don't ever let fnaf or the fandom die. For us, we grew up playing the first games, making theories, drawing fnaf characters on school notes to pass to each other, and listening to these music boxes for hours and hours on end.
  • I get chills down my spine on this song because of the story and what this game's been through.. The deaths.. the suits.. This was 80% of my childhood.

You maybe were that kid too. The one who grew up too fast. The one who had to watch as the world trembled around them. Why did we have to grow up so fast? Why couldn't we just be normal kids? Why can't we remember most of it either? Do you feel trapped too? Like you're on the bottom of a cliff, screaming, trying desperately for someone to listen. But they don't. They see it as a joke. And while they're out there laughing you're down here, starving, feeling your heart ache with every beat. I want to be a child again. I just want someone to tell me I'm safe, and that they'll stay by my side no matter what.

this just makes me so depressed. who knew that a small indie game could evolve into the most depressing story. #thankyouscott
  • @themorningboi
This lullaby has always given me "I'm sorry.." feelings
  • @SJJAD_IQ
Fnaf will remain one of the most amazing horror games that have existed, especially its complex and very sad story
  • @mia4673
I literally can't put into words how much a small indie game could make my whole childhood, regardless if it was a depressing story or not. #thankyouscott
  • As a kid, i understood almost nothing that happened in the story, honestly. It wasn't until I got older that I actually comprehended how messed up and depressing the story is. Honestly, thank you Scott. You raised an entire generation with your game. We couldn't be more thankful.
  • @VioletSaphy
And now, they rest. After all the years, suffering and pain, afton got what was coming. The children were freed. And after the story was told, scott put up his coat, gave the most sincere goodbye, and is going out with a bang, in the FNaF movie as his last gift. To us, from scott.
  • I've been a fan since 2014, so I'm a FNAF veteran. This franchise may be hard to keep up with lore-wise, but it's still one of my favorite horror game franchises. Listening to the music brings me back to the days when there were only 3 FNAF games. I love FNAF so much since I grew up with it during the mid-2010s, which I miss dearly. Happy 9th anniversary to this franchise! #thankyouscott

It's Saturday and it's your birthday :D!!! You, your friends, and family are cellebrating at Freddy Fazebear's Pizza. It's the best day of your life. While you are playing with your friends a golden bunny aproachs you. You realize it's Springbonnie!!! He tells you that he has cake, so you and your friends follow him. Springbonnie takes you to a weird room. He locks the door for some reason, but you don't care, you just want cake. The golden bunny pulls out a knife. You think that he's gonna cut the cake. He call one of your friends. She approaches Springbonnie. He stabs her. Blood splashes everywhere. You start running. HE starts killing everyone. You try to scape, but it's locked. You scream for help but no one can hear you. Then the golden bunny grabs you. He puts a towel on your face that smells funny. You feel sleepy. Later you wake up inside an old Fread Bear. You can't get out. You suddenly hear a crak. All the wires and metal parts start hitting you. Blood is everywhere. The pain is horrible. You are yelling and crying. You beg him to take you out, but he's just laughing. You stop crying, everything is in silence now. You know it's your end. Everything is black now. Some hours later you wake up. But you're no longer yourself... You're alone. You decide to explora the place and search for help. You go tu the bathroom and realize that you're Fread Bear!!! You see the rest of your friends, there animatronics too. You don't know what happened... You don't know who was HE... But HE'S gonna pay for it...
  • This just radiates, "You've won but at what cost" vibes. It's classical, almost alluring, but you can tell something isn't right. It's obvious that this song has been altered from how it used to be. The "perfect ending". You got what you wanted, but you lost everything you had. A beautiful reflection of FNAF.

What a way to celebrate fanf’s 8th birthday, crying about the lore while listening to shadow Bonnie’s music box

Its crazy how a lot of us grew up together with this game into adulthood. Its crazy looking back on all the years.
