In this video, I played 100 days in Stardew Valley completing the community center, but with a twist: I wasn't allowed to purchase ANYTHING from Joja OR Pierre. I also set some other goals for myself which include finding the living hat which is proving to be much harder than I anticipated. Here's how my next 100 anti-capitalist days in Stardew Valley turned out! 🦖

For it to be anti capitalist, you can still buy things that are worker-owned. Marnie and Willy are worker owned businesses, same with robin. They’re selling what they made with their labor and expertise
  • The absolute irony of one grown-ass adult telling another that they're too old to go on an egg hunt, and then proceeding to absolutely decimate the competition (which contains multiple children) has me in tears
  • 24:55 "In essence, I'm NOT a business, I'm.......a tourist attraction and a town fool." That's a raw ass line there.

“Abigail, you’re too old to do the egg hunt” proceeds to participate in and win the egg hunt yourself

Charlie truly showing the world what the integrity of a green slime looks like.

"You nicknamed my baby after the loch ness monster??!!" Nessie is a good name for that Dino

My wife saw your first video and decided to start back playing again since it had been awhile. She comes in the room screaming “I got it!” She got the Living Hat on Day 4 in Spring. Year 1. She wears it all the time since haha.
  • Fun fact did you know rinqueen did a similar series but she allowed herself to purchase the backpack upgrades and bouquet cause "i'm not a masochist."

As much as it might hurt you, the fiber grind is WAY more efficient then the golem grind Think of it this way: Fiber has a 1/100000 chance of giving you the living hat per fiber Wilderness golems have a 1/10000 of giving you the hat per golem You break around 300-500 fiber per day grinding fiber at the mines (which would mean 0.3%-0.5% chance to get it per day roughly) You kill about 3 golems per week it seems, which would mean every day you have about a 0.0042% chance of getting it, please stop the golem grind, it isnt worth it, your going to waste so much time doing it, trust me as someone who has grinded this hat myself Besides that, great video, loved it!

Marnie is one of the least aggregious of all vendors. Sure her prices are high but honestly? Farm equipment is just that expensive, quality animals are expensive. A truffle pig is expensive! She just wants to love her animals. The egg cutscene makes sense to me in year one. Sam cant cook was probs just gonna fry an egg, Jodie is stressed out cause single mum with two kids. More mess can be rhe straw that breaks the camels back.

"And unfortunately this useless machine is one of them" I actually personally don't find the bone mill that useless. I'd never put bone shards in there, but you can actually take the bone based artifacts that you get duplicates of and put them in to the bone mill. It has a chance to produce tree fertilizer and I actually like getting that in bulk for setting up tapper farms and having it all be in sync. Tree fertilizer requires some pretty common materials that I use in a lot of other stuff to craft so whenever I can save resources to craft it I'm not going to pass up that chance.

You can sell the cow for profit and then use your barn for ostriches (since I think every other barn animal can only be acquired through Marnie)!
  • @nifewoofy
You can enchant your sword at ginger island to allow you to get hay when you cut fiber so you can feed your animals well you search for the living hat

“Abigail you’re too old to do the egg hunt” Proceeds to absolutely DOMINATE Abigail in said egg hunt

30:55 The Burglar's Ring you have equipped works by rolling on the monster's drop table an extra time, making drops more likely. This has the side effect that sometimes monsters may drop twice the amount, if both rolls cause the item to drop. The Prismatic Jelly works just like a regular item drop, but due to it being a 100% drop chance, you will always get two Jelly if you're wearing the Burglar's Ring.

24:55 "I am a tourist attraction and a town fool" that is literally so fucking funny for no reason, that is now how I will be describing myself when I meet new people

Charlie in Pt1: "The train was a Joja train so I don't think I could use anything if it even did drop anything." Also Charlie in Pt2: Picks up an auto petter that the first words in the description are "Joja Co. patented."

“I now had full hearts with six people and only three of them where old men and I call that a win” god damn that killed me
  • @irishviking514
Great video! Couple quick notes, wilderness golems can only spawn on empty tiles so your spawn rate is way down with all of your beautiful farm paths and decorations. Also you may have to make some purchasing exceptions to reach perfection if that is one of your goals, traveling cart for cheese, milk, etc to sell for the collection tab or just get the milker, you'll also have to buy the rare crows from the festivals
  • @kayleighwiles
fun fact: when needing void mayo for the goblin you can just fish some out of the witches swamp, saves some time if you don't have or forgot it
