The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe: Prepare to enter another world when Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media present C.S. Lewis' timeless and beloved adventure. With the stunningly realistic special effects, you'll experience the exploits of Lucy, Edmund, Susan, and Peter, four siblings who find the world of Narnia through a magical wardrobe while playing a game of "hide-and-seek" at the country estate of a mysterious professor. Once there, the children discover a charming, once peaceful land inhabited by talking beasts, dwarfs, fauns, centaurs, and giants that has been turned into a world of eternal winter by the evil White Witch, Jadis. Aided by the wise and magnificent lion Aslan, the children lead Narnia into a spectacular climactic battle to be free of the Witch's glacial powers forever!

No remake can ever compare to this. Everything about this movie was perfectly executed.
  • Even with all this time that has passed the graphics are amazing, the music is beautifully done, the nostalgia is intense and the movie remains magical even after 17 years! I love it!
  • "Are you with me?" "Till the death" CHILLS EVERY SINGLE TIME
  • One thing I like about the movies is that they actually showed the battles. They didn't do that in the books and if you ask me the battles improve the storyline a bit.
  • Something never talked about is Peter using "bombers" since the Germans used the tactic against him in the beginning so he knew how devastating it can be
  • "Numbers do not win a battle." "No, but I bet they help." "Are you with me?" "To the death." Damn this scene did an absolutely brilliant job of portraying courage. It isn't the absence of fear, it's feeling the fear and pushing on anyway. One of my favorite scenes in cinema.
  • For a series made for kids, one I grew up reading, as an adult I realize how much more mature the story is.
  • amazing how many things in this scenes were practical and looked so real

I've heard that the White Witch's army has over 15,000 soldiers compared to Narnia's 5,000 soldiers (5,700 soldiers, if Aslan's reinforcements count). But White Witch's army suffered greater casualties which was 10,000 soldiers compared to Narnia's 1,000 soldiers (which were later revived and restored by Lucy and Aslan).
  • Wow. This actually held up. This CG looks better than most of the CG in the Hobbit trilogy.
  • I love the little snarls made by the cheetah and the leopard as they hear the Witch's army at 0:38. They're ready with claws and fangs for the enemy.
  • Can we just talk about how badass the Witch looked with the Polar Bears pulling the chariot? I remember even as a kid I wanted Aslan’s army to win but also loving the Polar bears since they’re my one of favorite animals.

3:11 that’s an awesome shot of the birds flying in with the rocks 😍

1:21 Tilda did a FANTASTIC job as The Witch. This movie will ALWAYS be iconic and even though it's almost 20 years old now, it still holds up supremely well and will remain one of my fave movies!
  • Wow. This took me back to being 7 years old. Tucked under a cosy blanket. Tears in my eyes , cheering on the good guys ! The animals battling on our side gave me so much hope. Even the little beaver soldier hahaha complete nostalgia
