  • It's great to see Latrell Mitchell "living the dream" and meaning every word of it. He's right, he'll have these memories like putting wood on the fire to keep the cold at bay every night for the rest of his life: "Dream on!" That's what I love about a lot of these nations: It's all about the continuity of players feeling connected to the previous generation and talking about setting a standard for the next generation. Modern nations such as England seem to have lost that connection to the land, to the ancestors... ? Just listen to the way Mitchell speaks. Agree, farming life is honest life: Family, Community create a sense of self and roots and any personal achievement is just a reflection of those connections. Well done Australia - and Samoa. Rugby League is a good game.
  • Brilliant tournament. It has been so exciting and entertaining. What a game Rugby League is.

Gee it meant a lot to these guys. Aussies generally just take those victories in their stride.

Nothing has changed. There will be few or no internationals for three years, then we repeat. Good to see Samoa's success and Tonga develop but really we are still here. England way behind, Superleague which is very entertaining is far behind in quality and they were the only Northern Hemisphere team to get into the quarters. The NRL don't want change. England almost don't play any descent teams year in and year out, so they won't develop. Yet they treat other Northern Hemisphere teams like Australia treat them, with indifference.
  • Heโ€™s acting like aussie havenโ€™t won almost every single world cup
