Vegemite and peanut butter together is hilarious- someone well and truly pulled your leg!
  • If you are on your way down to Adelaide, I suggest that you don't go down the Stuart Highway from Port Augusta. Instead, just South of Port Augusta turn left through Horrock's Pass to Wilmington and through the Clare Valley. We drove many times from Darwin to Adelaide, and the transition from Outback at the bottom of Horrocks pass to farming country at the top was always stunning. This route will also take you through the Clare Valley, which is one of the premier wine regions of Australia and extremely pretty. We have been following you for a couple of years now, and as parents of children of your age, we have one important message for you - EAT MOORE VEGETABLES!

I dont believe vegemite and peanut butter is actually an Aussie thing. Peanut Butter and honey is what I had for school lunch back in the 80's or vegemite and cheese.
  • @startinglateish
Just for the record, yes we are invested in the air compressor purchase!

Peanut butter with jam or honey, Yes. Vegemite with cheese or potato chips on bread, Yes Vegemite with peanut butter, totally sucked in guys. Someone is taking the piss out of you.
  • I was getting worried about you two. I just checked last night to see how long since you’d posted last. Good to see you’re still cruisin along. PS: If you do happen to ever get into any trouble I hope you know there’s a whole country willing to jump in and give you a hand, just put the word out.

Your comments about Alice are valued and appreciated .
  • Next to no-one in Oz eats peanut butter and vegemite on toast. Where on earth did that come from?
  • @elblanco5
I almost think you guys should do two or three supercut episodes: 1) All the big things with Tia for scale. 2a) The fuel efficiency story. 2b) The air compressor saga.
  • @Mister_Skar
Correct, triangular shaped sandwiches and bread do taste better. Also great video! Really captures the feel of driving out there, I have to do this one day.

Cheveyo, thanks for unlocking a forgotten memory regarding the smell of Australia. Growing up in San Diego (where eucalyptus trees were imported with the thought of using them for railroad ties only to discover that’s not effective … and that the trees will do a hostile takeover of the landscape), when I first visited Sydney in 2000, I immediately felt at home due to climate and smell. To me at that time, Sydney was like San Diego and San Francisco merged into one. Really miss it and am so happy to be back with you guys!

It was quite a wonderful surprise running into you guys outside Kirby's in Katherine. Nice to hear your balanced perspectives on issues. Keep spreading the joy!

To put things in perspective; there were 210 recorded murders across Australia wide in 2022 and the figure has been falling for decades, a figure that can be compared to the USA. Alice Springs is a large town where all your relatives, (in some places 10-20 people) live next door, the temperature in summer is >45C or 100F, and, while I have no opinion on anyone’s relatives, the government response to homelessness and overcrowding is not to build more houses but to send in more police. The results speak for themselves. Thank you for giving an unbiased report on our country. Great video. Thanks.
  • this video is one of the reasons i like this channel and both of you. visiting alice springs - not for hype value or to prove anything, but to just see for yourselves and make your own minds up about what something is like. you see the good in things (not in a blind way) and i think we could all do with a bit less sensationalism and judgement (or prejudice) in the world, and a bit more practicality and commom sense points of view. ✨🇦🇺 ps. oh god pb & vegie?! no!!
