  • Alright, it seems I need to address something many people have missed. I am not saying Stalin wasn't ethnically Georgian, I'm just saying that Stalin was not from the country of Georgia. People in these comments keep mentioning Stalin's original Georgian name, his Georgian accent, and how people in Georgia say he's Georgian.. They're literally viewing my video in a modern day politician context, from the eyes of Georgians Living in the 21st century from the country of Georgia...a political and national reality that didn't exist when Stalin was alive I never denied any of this..and I specifically stated in the video that Stalin was Ethnically Georgian. I speak of Stalin's Nationality and the country he came from...THIS WASN'T GEORGIA as Georgia didn't exist at the time Stalin was form... The Georgian people did,but not the nation itself. Stalin was like say... Albert Einstein, a Jew born in Germany, or say Hitler, a German born in Austria, or maybe even Freddy mercury, an Indian born in Tanzania So please, stop telling me Stalin had a Georgian name at birth, or that he had a Georgian accent, or that he had Georgian blood... I know, he was still Russian/Soviet....you can still be Russian and have a Georgian Ethnicity, Georgian family, and even speak Georgian as a first language...many Russians don't speak Russian as a Frist language and There's many Russians today who are also Georgian in Ethnicity like Stalin was. Let's assume that say Texas gained independence from the United States as they have been discussing recently, would Lyndon.B.Johnson suddenly no longer be an American president of American and now a Texan president of America? What about all the other Americans that were born in Texas , who identified and were recognized as Americans when Texas was still a state?....would they now suddenly no longer be Americans and now exclusively Texan, despite the fact that Texas didn't exist then? By that logic is Julius Caesar Italian?, Is Marcus Aurelius Spanish? Of course not. If Chechnya was to gain independence in 100 years, are all the people living in Chechnyan today no longer Russians? Would Ramzan Kadyrov no longer be a Russian? That's my point, you cannot say that a person is from a country that didn't exist when he was around. Once again,I never denied Stalin's ethnicity, not his birth or his first language or anything, I simply stated the fact that the country Stalin was from was Russia, not Georgia. He was a Russian of Geogrian Ethnicity I hope I have cleared up any miscommunication

Mozart is kind of like that. He will be called either German or Austrian but nighter of those countries existed at the time of his life. Maybe you can look into it. I'd watch a video about what he would have identified as before being tossed into his pauper's grave.
  • this video is Joke LMAO. His original name was Soso Jughashvili and was so patriotic that he didn't even wanted to speak russian in his early ages. it's like saying every Ethnic Indian is Britain, because India was once part of British Empire influence. So no, He was Georgian and russian was his second-language.
  • Dude, no. Just no, stalin was russian with georgian etnicity. Charlemagne wasn't French, Belgian or German, he was frankish. Marcus aurelius wasn't Spanish or Italian, he was roman. You can't extrapolate today's conceptions of the world to historic debates, it's just stoopid (censorship xd)
  • @AnI-dz5fp

  • @GUG3X
"georgia didn't exist at that time" 1800's: am i joke to you?
  • Yknow... upon further inspection of this video I realized that this might not be such a bad thing... Stalin being a Russian and all...at least Georgia wasn't what made him what he became
  • This is wrong Stalin was not Russian. If we follow this logic, our ensesters were born in Russian Empire. So that means Georgians are Russians.
  • Bro Stalin nationality are Georgia because in are don’t have such an names
  • @theawesomenoob2265
Hit*er was from austria-hungary not austria Stalin was from Russian empire not georgia since georgia didnt exist Modric is from Yugoslavia croatia didnt exist when he was born Putin is from soviet union Not russia Einstein is from german empire not germany
  • @chadvogel3594
Clovis and Charlemagne spoke Frankish which was a Germanic language.
  • @Contessa6363
Stalin spoke Russian with a Georgian accent! He is also not ethnically Slavic. So for me he is most definitely Georgian. True at the time he was born Georgia didn't exist. Refer to him as a Georgian who was born in Russia.
  • @sandygeorgia
