Long lectures are inevitable when you want to get good at competitive games. There are no shortcuts so I appreciate your content.

"I think there's something valuable in listening to me talk for hours" is the most perfect youtube quote. great stuff as always.

This video is great! I'm a smash 4 player but I still found this fundamentally very useful! You explained the idea of game plans really well and this is really helpful for improving!

Holy crap. If there is a legit video game university one day, you would be a great professor to teach there

Here because of Tekken 7... It's my first fighting game at all so I'm overwhelmed with all of the information but also excited ☺

Yeah that was a long post. But I had to let it all out hahaha. I hope you see it man. These videos mean a lot to me now. And I am not the type of person who says things like that or writes a lot on the internet.

Hey man idk if you still check your YouTube but these long-form videos were really enjoyable and informative for me. I noticed you haven’t uploaded in over a year so I hope you’re doing well
  • Great video, thanks for laying it out. I'm into a much less popular game (Punch Planet) so I kind of have to figure this stuff out for myself to a greater degree than might be the case for a more popular title that gets loads of participation, tournaments, analysis, etc.
  • I know I'm probably asking a lot but I would love to see what a shoto gameplan flowchart looks like. I imagine it's a gameplan that, based on whether the opponent is being aggressive or defensive, would split into two separate gameplans
