Originally Hill Pottery in 1814 in Flemington, NJ, renamed Fulper. Martin Stangl, an employee of Fulper moved up to the top of the ranks at Fulper, finally buying the company, renaming it Stangl in 1955. Stangl operated until 1978. The historic kiln can still be seen in Flemington today.
