I’ll always have love for Jasmine Guy, because when I saw her in the movie “School Daze” back in 1988, I wrote her a letter and asked her for an autographed picture. I never thought she would even read it, but shortly after, I received a 12 x 9 inch, gorgeous autographed pic of her in the mail. I still have it to this day. It’s still the most beautiful pic of her that I’ve ever seen. 🌹❤️

Dwayne stealing her away from Byron Douglass at the wedding is one of the most iconic episodes in TV history!

Jasmine reminds me of Ruby Dee when she speaks in interviews. The mannerisms and facial expressions.
  • @mercnicole
This is a whole 'sitting with your favorite Aunty' conversation. Love her!

There is NO ONE like Jasmine Guy. She is one of the few who is REAL! Ohhhhh to sit at the kitchen table and talk with her!!!!!

Miss Jess was so respectful to Ms. jasmine Guy. There was a point in the interview that Ms. Guy was tearful and concerned about her lashes and Miss Jess told Ms. Guy you are good like I have been watching you and I would let you know if they were noticeably awkward. She is humble and very kindhearted and respectful to her elders. Thank you Miss Jess.

It’s no secret, Black talent has never been given the recognition it deserves!
  • I admire Jasmine bcuz she's RAW & HONEST with her interviews. She don't sugarcoat NOTHING!

This lady is witty, quick, and funny. It's a blessing to grow old.

No disrespect of Ms. Guy will ever be tolerated. These are always the best interviews where respect and decorum is shown. We all gravitate towards the crazy, but these are where the gems for life truly come from.

I wanted to go to Hampton because of a Different World. I was not able to attend because I got pregnant with my son. When he graduated high school, I encouraged him to take his football talent to an HBCU. College visits with him was such an amazing experience. He settled on Savannah State and I was ecstatic !! Unfortunately the pandemic cancelled the football program, but he stayed because he enjoyed the experience. Ultimately he joined the US Army… and today he’s an Army Sergeant WITH an HBCU experience! I love that for him! I will ALWAYS love A Different World for planting that seed for us ❤️.

I CAN'T EVEN LIE.. I NEVER EVER LIKED OR WATCHED A FULL EPISODE OF @breakfastclub but "this This THIS!" I THANK YOU! I have a new RESPECT FOR YOUR SHOW. WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE "MISS JASMINE" ❤❤❤

Everyone talks about how Jada is always crying when she talks about Pac, but a lot of people, who really knew, and understood him cry at the thought of his memory, that’s how impactful he as a whole human was and is.

A Different World was the reason I only applied to HBCU's. Jasmine made me cry when she broke down each female character because THAT'S exactly how I felt. This show DEFINITELY had an impact on my life and many others. 😍💪🏾👸🏿
  • @nufforme
Wow, the depth of her conversation about her journey in the industry should be textbook mandatory. Big ups for sharing the hidden moments with Tupac. Unheard by si many.

Jasmine!!! I love her! What a great interview! I was fortunate enough to had worked with her on a photo shoot in NYC back when she did Chicago on Broadway. I had worked hard to get her little black dress she wore for the shoot so it would fit her perfectly. With the help of a body double to represent, I took a risk and sized that dress smaller and shorter (sexier) than you would get off the rack. I almost died when she said to me thank you. So very sweet she was to me. She put me at ease from the pressure of the situation. I for ever remember how truly beautiful she is inside and out. She is the real deal. I love her so much for being so real. L O V E L O U D JASMINE!!! Thank you so much 🔥 🔥 🔥 ❤❤❤

I hope Ms Guy and the rest of A Different World cast never get tired of talking about the show. The work they did is still making a difference in young Black American lives. We weren’t able to ask questions then when the show was airing, so it’s a blessing to still have them here and be able to ask questions and show them all love now.

I was her server often at the Atlanta High museum of art. She would come to our restaurant before seeing a play. She was super kind and gracious always. She really a living icon
  • @miac405
I felt that when she talked about her having a hope to have helped Tupac make the move forward😢😢😢
  • It is 3am and I have attentively watched this entire show after it popped up. What an awesome convo with Jasmine. She is the real authentic deal telling it like it is and was. I’ve laughed and almost cried. Definitely saving this video. ❤🥰🌹
