I got 13 months and 10 days clean today, a miracle for this addict.
  • Johnny Cash had more talent in one finger than most of today's "Stars" will ever read about!

I woke up one Sunday morning heard this playing on the radio got up quit smoking and drinking and became a deputy sheriff.
  • Unforgettable Johnny Cash, rest in eternal peace, it's summer 2022 and I'm listening to this song. Heart in thanks.

There will never be another man with this great voice. May God Bless him and June.

This is a song about a guy on the wrong path of life, but only acknowledges it when he's hungover and down. God bless my wife for getting off that path.

One of the coolest Americans ever born.
  • Johnny Cash was the best. it's sad that he's gone, I'm just thankful that we live in a time where all this music was videotaped. can you imagine not being able to look back & listen to the greats? that would suck.

It's 6:40pm on a Tuesday and I spent the last forty minutes trying to talk myself out of bed and a crushing depression. This song just happened to be on some playlist youtube created and "thought" I might like. I am a big Cash fan but I never heard this song before. But it captures and encapsulates my mood and frame of mind precisely. Johnny Cash suffered from depression and addiction just as I do and this song really expresses exactly the way I feel right now. Even in the depths of psychological angst it is nice to know someone else knows how you feel.

Been there done that, I lost a wife and two children over 50 years ago, that was the saddest time of my life. If you've been through it then you understand every word of this song, if you haven't then you really can't truly understand it.

Absolute legend. Sadly missed. Never forgotten. RIP Johnny.

Johnny Cash IS everyone's hero, like Davy Crockett or Gene Autry. The greatest country star sings one of his greatest hits written by fellow Highwaymen Kris Kristofferson! As good as it gets J.R. - R.I.P.
  • @Gamira00
Probably one of the best songs ever written! Thx. Kris 🙏
  • Johnny put himself into his songs that made them more like a story of his life. That was why his songs drew so many fans from many different genres to enjoy him.

Johnny Cash sang this song in my car. Not lying. Was my lucky day, spent more than 5 hours alone with the man in black.
  • You can see the pain and experiences in his eyes as he sings. Kris wrote one hell of a song and it was meant to be sang by someone who lived it.

I had the honor of seeing this man when I was 5 years old, I still have the double live album put away that Mom and Dad bought me at the show.
  • My Dad introduced me to Johnny Cash....I'm 63....Sunday morning still coming down ❤ 🎶
