About Us
We are Becka and Zach, a couple who, in 2020, dreamt of sailing off into the big blue. Trouble is- we were in a pandemic, had a university degree to finish, on a student budget, only had ever sailed dingies, oh and didn't have a boat. The dream seemed not only unrealistic but pretty insane.

However, we worked hard, finished our degrees, worked as many hours as physically possible, saved with all our might, got experience and in March 2022 bought our very own sailboat, Teulu. Having little sailing experience and being a young couple, we have encountered a tonne of hurdles and made plenty of mistakes! but for every downfall, there has always been a reason to dust ourselves off and carry on.

We hope you can join us as we sail around the world and keep #bloodydoingit

Bumpy waters are part of the life for sure! Could you deal with motion of ocean? 🌊

Great video - very nice cinematographic opening, and play with music.

Look into how to set up a swell bridle instead of a stern anchor. Similar to a snubber, attach a line to the anchor chain with a rolling hitch or spliced loop and clip, let out a couple of boat lengths of line a and secure midship on the side away from the swell. Haul it in until your bow points into the swell. The advantage, unlike a stern anchor, is that it can be adjusted from onboard as the wind changes and it’s as easy as a snubber to retrieve. Nice video, thanks.

Jeeeze. Your filming and editing has become second to none. Well done guys. Really great work.
  • Wow what a ride! You folks are in a very nice spot and on a beautiful sailboat Thanks for all your efforts to bring us this weekly show
  • @rickpyne
With a Ketch rig you can put up a small amount of Missen, while at anchor to keep the bow into the wind and hopefully the direction of the swell.....
  • Use a 2/3 leg bridle on your main anchor . Lead lines to bow and port and starboard stern / midships. You can adjust your angle to the swell by changing the lengths of the 2/3 lines! Just saw the other comment re bridles ! oops ! Lots of people looking out for you ! Good travels !

Over the last couple of weeks I've had time to watch from the start, wow, what an amazing journey you guys are having. Your zest for life is inspiring and attitude to overcome setbacks (broken engine in the middle of nowhere) is admirable. I'm here for the rest of the journey now. Keep up the great the work.
