With the inclusion of the Working Joe androids depicted in Alien: Isolation, public concerns regarding synthetics and their closeness to humans had been brought into light. Seegson took pride in drawing a line in the sand regarding these concerns, though not unlike humans, the Working Joes were not beyond corruptibility.

If they were available, I'd get me a 1997 Winona Ryder.

I choose Samuels, man, i never considered him an android because he was so cool to be just an android

I love the fact that you took the time to get creepy as hell pictures of the Working Joes to go along with the video. They were easily one of the scariest parts of the game.

I want a working joe or three, they’d be a huge help, and despite their lack of sentience sound like nice people to talk to, and I think Seegson cared more about helping people.

These things are a bigger pain in the ass than the xenomorph in this game.

If I had to choose between a synthetic and working Joe... I'd buy a replicant. More human than human. Weyland was always a Tyrell fanboy.

I need to play this game at some point. The notion of a competing robotics company taking pride in androids that are less human looking is interesting. I always felt like Weyland created androids with marketability as a secondary consideration, he was obsessed with creating artificial humans, he wanted to be the first to cross the uncanny valley. I could imagine a world where both kinds of androids are useful, the Seegson models are perfectly suited to manual labour, where as the Weyland androids would be useful in situations where human interaction is a key part of their job. Caring for the elderly, disabled, or children for example, they are perfectly suited to companionship. As an autistic person myself, a Walter would afford me a kind of independence I don't otherwise have, even the best human caretakers are only human, as such they aren't entirely selfless, they get tired, they have bad days. With a Walter I wouldn't have to be subjected to such indignities. Also it would be nice just to have a companion that thinks and talks the way I do, neurotypicals can be confusing.

I'd get me a Bishop, because Lance Henriksen is awesome.

I'd have to go with Seegson because of what they stated as a sales pitch. You KNOW you're working with an android and not sleeping with one (like the Captain of the Prometheus when he was trying to nail Weyland's daughter)

I would choose a Weyland-Yutani Android just because they are less off-putting and more human-like, and overall would be more comfortable to be around.
  • Alien Theroy: I've got to say I think you have the best material content of all the YouTube Alien franchise channels! 💯👍

I just wish Ridley had made a movie based on Alien Isolation if he wanted to make a prequel of some sorts of the franchise.

If I saw working joe in dark alley .... I will run like hell!
  • Ahhh the only thing that terrified me more than the xenomorph in isolation, seriously if I have robophobia it's probably because of these guys
