I am so sorry for his family! But I would do the same thing to protect my children and grandchildren. My husband passed away 18 years and the time has really gone by so fast, it’s hard to believe it’s been 18 years. He died from cancer caused by where he worked building and designing the things used for Defense of America. After my husband died many people picketed the building because they knew it was contaminated but Congress refused to do anything about it. 5 other people in his small area where his office was also came down with the same type of cancer. They finally after loosing one of our country’s best Defense Engineers who had 3 college degrees, they tore down the building and even hauled away the dirt underneath. I don’t know where they dumped it. It was always the democrats who turned down spending for the workers safety. Just like when Carter was the President he made them set the temperature in the winter at 55 even if it was 0 degrees outside and my husband had to wear long underwear, corduroy pants, long sleeve shirt, sweater over that and a wool jacket over that and sit at his desk trying to hold his pen and write reports all while he was freezing, then in the summer he made them set the air conditioning at 80 degrees. We had gas rationing and he made life miserable. That is why Carter had the title of the worst President for a long time but now he has been replaced.

Sadly I've been to 2 LODD losses in 1 Dept in less than 10 years apart with my husbands Dept. There are no words to describe the heartbreak when witnessing these funerals. The funerals I went to with those were military and having the 21 gun salute and taps always was worse. Now adding the bagpipes crushes me. My heart is breaking for the fire family, his personal family and the community. #thinredlinefamily Rest easy we've got it from her brother.
