Roses

Ever wonder what was on the mind of the maker
When He turned all of our sorrow into fields of grace
Right here in the middle of earth and heaven
Caught between the romance and the pain
Can’t you see that

He must’ve known about the heartbreak long before us
He must’ve known about the mistakes, still He chose us
Planted the tree where He would die
Put thorns down the vine, and then He wore them
And love is the blood red stain, the beauty that the pain exposes
Maybe that’s why God made roses

God is in the whisper if you listen closely
Winter means that spring is just a breath away
So don’t go any faster than this very moment
Sing a hallelujah the pouring rain
Can’t you see that

And just like petals falling to the ground
We fall in to the one who’s resurrection’s here and now
All things made new

He must’ve known about the heartbreak long before us
He must’ve known about the mistakes, still He chose us
Planted the tree where He would die
Put thorns down the vine, and then He wore them
And love is the blood red stain, the beauty that the pain exposes
Maybe that’s why God made roses

This song is quite literally saving my life right now. All praise & honor to my King Jesus.
  • I've been listening to this song on repeat for months now and have to say this.. God knew he would wear a crown of thorns, yet he still made roses. God knows every mistake you will ever make, yet he still made YOU! Powerful, powerful stuff...

Two years ago???!!! I don't know why I'm just "hearing" this song played on the channel I'm always tuned into, Sirius XM The Message!!🤯 So be it. God's timing blessed me with Andrew's music and the artist NOW and I'm grateful.👍

Made me think of the roses my late husband planted just before he went to heaven

God not only made roses, but He made Andrew Ripp and we are grateful to be blessed by his songs and his gifts that God gave unto him. Such truth and beauty in his words. No Greater Love Than This, is when someone lays down His life for His friends.

“God is in the whisper if you listen closely Winter means that spring is just a breath away So don't go any faster than this very moment Sing a hallelujah in the pouring rain” wow! So much in this! God has been speaking to me about roses and winter and spring and I’m in a really tedious place right now! All I needed to hear was in this one song on the radio! ❤️🌹thank you for Writing and using your gift!
  • I'm in love with this song thank you brother for allowing God to sing thru you so beautifully ❤

This song brings me to instant tears. Thinking about the sacrifice our Savior made for us.
  • Everything about this song is awesome, the lyrics, the vocals and the music! I cannot believe it does not get more play time. It should!

I feel that this song speaks to all of us. The hurting and the happy it is this song of celebration and yet is it a song of healing but I guess most importantly, it’s just a song about God’s love for us. I pray this would go viral in this Easter season Love it love God love you

I cant help but believe a song like this is psalm worthy
  • I heard this song for the first time today in a Christian resale shop called Second Life. It's the 2nd "all things made NEW" that is so incredibly powerful for some reason. I listened to those four words at that part of the song probably 25 times in a row, tears streaming down my face. This song must move everyone who hears it. What a blessing.
