Still no rules about all these overbooked flights. That's the most toxic thing about airlines. They shouldn't be able to kick paying customers out off their seats.
-
It always amazes me how a company can refund 7 to 10 business days yet they can whip it out of my account immediately
-
They should pass a law that airlines can’t overbook seats!
-
Automatic… if they can take payment at the ticket counter they can refund it at the ticket counter.
-
The whole airline industry is so predatory. It’s essentially a monopoly at this point, I really hope we see more protective consumer legislature as time goes on.
-
Remember when we didnt pay extra fees for bags? 😂
-
Flying has become no better than taking a Greyhound bus. In some regards, worse.
-
Exactly…..if I give you money…I want money back when things don’t work out. No more keeping our money while you issue worthless vouchers with hideous restrictions. My money had no restrictions when I handed it over to you. Airplane manufacturers, airlines, airports and TSA all need a spanking. Yall just ridiculous!!!
-
During the pandemic ANA was giving full cash refunds. No song and dance just an immediate refund. Kudos!!!
-
When families buy basic economy tickets and don’t pay the fee to sit together, then they ask customers who DID pay for their seat to move. I ain’t moving. Sorry not sorry
-
Let's spend millions to fight this instead of just sucking it up and treating people right. Probably the most despicable industry going.
-
Hmmm, I've never been charged more than I expected. On the other hand, now having to pay for each piece of luggage is ridiculous.
-
Just refunding the ticket cost for a cancelled flight is NOT adequate. Imagine the inconvenience a traveller has to go through to complete the travel buying an alternate ticket that would be much expensive since last minute purchase, delay and possibly missing a connection etc. Airline should refund 3 times the ticket price as a mandate for cancelled flights, or an alternate flight within 4 hours plus 25% of the ticket cost as a penalty.
-
Another great tip is to booked through the airline itself! Use Travelocity and orbits to find out what airline goes where you want to and for the best price. Then go to the airline site directly and book a flight with them. It takes out the third person policy and the airline will be able to help you more. Been in the airline industry for over 30 years.

Glad for the change. Airline companies getting away with too much for 20 years. Now they have to work on insurance companies, cable, and hospital cost.
-
I went from Heathrow London > Dallas Texas > Albany NY. My connection in Dallas got delayed 27 hours and I had to buy a new ticket to get to Albany NY. I didnt get a hotel or refund or anything. It's disgusting how airlines treat customers.
-
They should do the same to hotels. Hotels these day charge guests various fees. You can’t see the fees until after a few clicks to the final step of booking. The final price is often 20%, sometimes 50% morn than the initially displayed price.
-
Consumer should get together and sue those airlines who’re trying to block the new laws.
-
“Billions of dollars in junk fees” is exactly why they are challenging it in court 😂
-
The USA is so behind with consumer regulations. Europe and the Uk has had these laws for a long time.
