Adolf Hitler's Sinister Interest In The Occult | Temple Of Doom | Timeline

Published 2017-02-03
What links a mysterious golden pot discovered in a Bavarian lake, a castle designed like a particle accelerator, Hitler’s Quest for the Sword of Destiny, and a fatally doomed hunt for the Holy Grail? This is the true story of The Nazi’s Temple of Doom.

Although disappointed by the discovery that a Celtic Cauldron was in fact manufactured in the 20th Century, it soon became apparent that this mysterious item could tell us more about the intricacies of Nazi plans for Germany than has ever been explored before.

The Nazi Temple Of Doom follows the journey of how one item, found in Chiemsee Lake in Germany, revealed dark secrets about a group that were already known for their interest in Ancient Mythology and the Occult: the Nazis. Using the Nazi-made Celtic cauldron as a starting point, experts piece together the fascinating depths to which the Nazi ideology reached and explore their goals and expectations. It was long the objective of Heinrich Himmler, one of the highest members of the Third Reich and Head of the SS, to create a racially pure society in which a glorious German history was celebrated. In 1934, Himmler chose Wewelsburg Castle and its dark past as the SS base, and the beginnings of a Nazi cult, based on pre-Christian Germany, as he believed Christianity had no place in the ideology of the SS.

This documentary special tells the tale of how Himmler drafted in experts to research and re-write a mythological, glorious German history and to build a Nazi-Vatican. The cauldron played an integral part in furthering Himmler’s cult and proving what he believed were Germany’s true Celtic origins.

Using library footage, interviews and a gripping storyline, The Nazi Temple Of Doom reveals previously unexplored territory in the Nazi regime.

If anybody has ever played the PC game "Wolfensetein" the plot of the story takes place entirely in this castle. It's part of why the game is so weird and also historically accurate to some extent. This was fascinating to watch.

There's A LOT more to the occult than the general public has any idea of. Those with access to the knowledge have gone to extreme lengths to assume positions of authority to try to discredit and silence it's aunthenticity.
  • Maybe I'm a bad person, but I would never call anyone if I found something like this.

The cauldron is an almost perfect piece of art. Not a scratch or dent on the entire object. That should have been a dead give away that it hadn't weathered thousands of years of time in the hands of pre Roman Celtic barbarians. Even the most coveted art has some form of wear, even after one hundred years.
  • We all know that he was stopped in his search for the Holy Grail by Indiana Jones.

The really amazing thing is how the leaders of the country with the most powerful army in the world, in 1939, could convince themselves that some ancient relic would make them unbeatable
  • I've been in the castle, its one of the creepiest places I have been. I still get chills thinking about the place.

Grail - from Old French graal, from medieval Latin gradalis ‘dish No wonder people can't find it. Looking for cup, but it's a dish. Probably in someone's house holding fruit in it.

There was so much treasure and so many artifacts stolen by the Nazis it's gonna be impossible to recover everything they took

Me, immediately turning into Indiana Jones: That belongs in a museum!
  • Anybody who was legitimate, on the level, would have had the gold authenticated BEFORE putting it on the market for investors. The fact that the swindler didn’t should have told the investors to stay away from it, but the ones who threw their hats (and their money) into the ring apparently never thought of that. Their greed was repaid in the best way possible, by losing their investment.

These series... lots of dramatic music and spectacular war film archives, but very little knowledge.

I read an article from oct 20th 2020 by the guardian that said a shipwreck found off the coast of poland may have been the ship responsible for transporting the amber room and it may still be aboard the vessel.

Medieval artwork to me is the most beautiful., it has a special unique aura like nothing else. There just is not enough that has survived. Which makes it more valuable.

If you can forget what the tomb was supposed to immortalize, it's a beautiful mausoleum.

Awesome documentary. This should be the manuscript on how to make a real insightful documentary. The voiceover- the acting - the storyline

This is a great channel, but I really hate the long ads. I know its for them to generate cash, but the long duration ads are annoyingly great. Miss the old youtube,
