Jakob Ingebrigtsen strategically positioned himself and struck late to score Gold in the Men's 5000m. He posted a 13:13.66 to pass Ronald Kwemoi (KEN) and Grant Fisher (USA) in third.

I don't have the official splits but stopping/starting and watching the NBC video carefully, it looked like Jakob ran 1:49-high or 1:50-low for the last 800m. Amazing.

Jakob would do great in the 3000m steeplechase and 10000m as well if the schedule allowed it

What race is Jakob talking about @ 11:40 ? - "...I think we're all happy with the outcome and excited for the race tonight" ? Unless he said "rest"??

Jakub side-stepped the Johnathan gault question but he can’t deny he runs the 1500 the wrong way at the championships, he however races the 5k the right way. The reason he doesn’t want to to run the 1500 the same way baffles me, if he can get out of his own way he would win the 1500 doing a similar tactic as the 5k
