Hardscape materials are the wood and rocks we use to establish the foundation of our tanks. Figuring out your goals for an aquarium, then having the right materials on hand make ALL the difference. This video discusses various materials available in the market and their pros and cons.

    BI can't think of another vid that goes in to the pro and cons of hard scape materials like this. Is how to prepare wood and rock before going to be part of the series? What wood leaches worse than other? Looking forward to this series of vids.

  • Bean bags or nets with volcanic rocks work well for the dry fit and provide the support you invariably need.

    A Tupperware flat bottom bowl approximately with the same dimensions of a small tank filled with sand would help you to better visualize how the tank will be. Can also help with substrate positioning ideas.
