GOP & DNC Masquerade As Working-Class Parties While Serving Billionaires

Published 2024-07-19
In his speech at the Republican National Convention, VP candidate JD Vance tried to portray himself and the GOP as the party of the working class. He criticized US foreign policy and named the “ruling class” as the source of working peoples’ misery. But Vance himself is a venture capitalist “whose whole career has been propped up by a supervillain tech billionaire,” BreakThrough News Editor-in-Chief Ben Becker says. “As the Democratic Party abandoned the working class, that created a vacuum that the Republicans are now stepping into.” Ben joins hosts Rania and Eugene to explain why the GOP is still very much a party for the billionaire class.

  • Neither party serves the public. They are more interested in spending money outside of the U.S..

JD Vance married an academic Hindu so that he can moves up to the upper class and not belong to the working class.

Black Rock is only one letter away from having a HUGE membership.
  • Everybody is anti-worker. You see there are 20 million families in America who are considered millionaires. As their net worth is over $1 million. that is the demographic that is the most important to any politician and blue color workers are usually not part of this group

  • The two parties are competing to win the votes of the working class. It is like both are socialist and there is no capitalism anywhere. 😅

they tried hundreds of times with Fidel Castro, & Maduro etc... Trump is a noob.

have you noticed how Trumps mouth always points downwards? And Biden's half points up, half points down? Usually that means one of two things in Biden's case. In body language terms, it means you are smiling but deep down you feel contempt for the person you are talking about. However, it also could mean he's suffered a stroke. I dunno what the upside down smile that Trump has means. Possibly he's a miser? But it does kinda remind me of Toad from Wind in the Willows.
  • when is the last time a third party won national office or electoral votes for president?

I wish people would stop saying “attempted ass’n.” That implies far more than we have proof to say conclusively. Couldn’t they say “shooting” and leave it there, leaving open the possibility it was meant to just graze him? It’s not like that would be impossible to pull off. Very doable for a highly motivated party with access and resources
