my aunt and uncle were both killed in the attack when the plane hit them while in the 91st floor of the north tower leaving my cousin an orphan. I remember how she and I cried for 5 days straight my uncle was an amazing man. It still makes me tear up and I'm a 27 year old man. RIP

I can't imagine the people in the Twin Towers .. just imagine hearing them panicking , yelling , crying , telling their family how much they love them .. Rest in Peace to all of those who have sadly died in the attack , we will never forget 9/11.

My mom was working at the pentagon and she was talking to her best friend that was at her desk and as soon as she turned away from her desk the plane crashed and hit the ground that made her body flew miles away from her desk and she look at her friends desk was on fire and herself while smelling her flesh...before all that happen that morning my mom had a feeling something bad gonna happen. Now she’s paralyzed on her right side because of the plane crashed. Years after the attack she couldn’t work or drive. But she survived. I was told this from her. I wanted to share her story.

A person at my school’s mom worked there, but they missed the bus so she had to drive him, making her late to work and surviving one of America’s worst days

I was born in 2010, so I did not live through this moment, but my aunt did. She was working lower floors, and heard the vibration of the plane approaching. She made it out safe, but her colleague who had went to the top floors, unfortunately died in this incident. God bless the people that have lost family members and friends in the attack, and stay strong.

I don't know anybody who died in this, but hearing some of the last phone calls from other people makes me want to cry for a long time. It's sad

My Teacher relative died in 9/11...it's so heartbreaking that people had to go through this.
  • I was young when this happened but I still have never forgotten where I was watching it on the news. I was in my grandmothers house we were all having lunch in Ireland when the first plane hit the towers. My grandfather rushed in to the kitchen and turned on the Tv and I looked and seen the horror and my mother and grandparents faces. At the time I didn’t understand entirely but I knew it was not a good thing. My father came straight to my grandparents house after work. Then we watched as the second plane hit and it was the first time I’d ever seen my grandparents cry. We watched the news all day that day and frantically tried to call relatives in New York at the time which was near impossible. We all stayed together that night. Years later I asked why we didn’t go home, my dad said at a time like that it was important that we were together as a family because a lot of families that day never seen their loved ones come home again. The images of that day are forever etched in my mind and I will never forget it or that 3000 people needlessly lost their lives.

honestly alot of people make “dark humor” jokes and stuff like that about 9/11 but i seriously cant imagine being a victim from the attack. The first responders literally ran to their deaths and thousands of innocent people just having a normal day at work and realising they will never get to say good bye to their loved ones. truly breaks my heart. rip.

It feels strange that there is now an entire generation who hasn’t lived through this day. Those of us who did, will never forget. It was truly shocking. 🗽

I was 28 on 9/11. I was living in Brooklyn at that time, and it was surreal, traumatic & CLOSE ENOUGH for me. I don't have any other way of explaining it.

One thing that always sticks with me is how they tried to get people in the south tower to return to their office because their building wasn’t hit. Those who obeyed died when the second plane hit. Those who worked on those upper floors worked in a death trap. They never had a real evacuation plan for those floors.
  • This happened when I was 1. My mum still remembers that day and can’t believe it’s 20 years ago tomorrow!!
