Tuesday Knight is the actress playing Kristen, replacing Patricia Arquette. She's also the one singing the opening song, "Nightmare".
  • This movie was a pioneer in the trope of "bring back characters from the previous movie and kill them off almost immediately".
  • @3r1kofficial
I love that Tara and Roxy are both actresses, and that Tara even worked with Lisa Wilcox...Crazy!
  • @rynefox7366
Dog Pissing Fire has to be the most bizarre way a horror villain has ever returned to its’ franchise.
  • Rick’s death was originally going to be much different. The elevator he was in was going to crumble apart, leaving him to fall in an endless abyss. But by the time they were getting ready to work on the sequence, the budget was just about GONE, so they had to improvise and literally throw that dojo scene together.

I know a lot of people regard Part 3 as the best, but I’ll admit Part 4 has grown on me a lot over the years. It’s fun, silly, imaginative, Renny Harlin did a great job directing, this should be the tone they go with if they ever reboot Nightmare as a film series or TV series, unlike the horrible and boring 2010 remake, they need to lean into the comedy and over-the-top kills and crazy dreamscape worlds and just make it fun
  • Something I really appreciate about The Nightmare on Elm Street movies is that they do a really good job sticking to the logic and rules that they created for the world. In the last movie, the nun said the bones had to be buried on hallowed ground. But they bury the bones in the junkyard. So of course Freddy came back. The whole premise of the first 3 movies was Freddy hunting the children of the people who killed him. So after he did that, he needed a new way to hunt other children. Hence, Alice. They continue this same logic into the next movies. I love it.

Roxy's gonna wake up in the middle of the night screaming "Englund! Englund!"
  • @gutz1981
If you think about what Alice is doing in the suit up scene, it makes all the more up lifting. She removes all the photos from her mirror, something she hated looking at (Lack of self confidence) Then she puts on a piece of item from each of her fallen friends, something that represented a positive strength for each person. By the end she has stripped all negative from her persona and replaced it with confidence through help of her friends. Which works with the idea that nightmares represent our inner failings and fears. And with no failings and no more fear, the are no more nightmares. Hence, no more Freddy.
  • @gutz1981
Ladies, you keep mentioning CGI effect in this franchise. In this time in the 80s, horror movies like NOES could not afford to have any, so these effects were all old school practical. In fact, in the history of cinema, it is horror movies that helped pioneer practical effects as so much of it was developed for these films, like the original Fly and The Thing from the 50s and continuing on into the 60s, 70s, 80s and so on.
  • @m00nwa1ker
Nightmare On Elm Street 3-5 is like it's own trilogy inside the Nigthmare On Elm Street movie series.
  • @marklola12
Kincaid basically died of a heart attack in real life, freddy stabbed him but we only a realisic version of his death in real life Like with kristen she would have looked like she fell asleep on her bed with a cigarette alight
  • @TheVas76
Tuesday Night actually sang that opening song. "Running From His Nightmare." Also, Patricia Arquette played Kristin in the last one.
  • The beach scene was filmed where I used to live. I went to check it out since i was told it was the film ANOES and since I was already a fan... man, what a sight. They added the palm trees, the sand, I saw how they filmed all the scenes except the explosion of the castle. I saw how they pulled the fin claw from the water to the sand. (With an ATV) And the best of it all, i saw Robert Englund in his most terrifying makeup as Freddy Krueger. All the people that were there, were staring and Robert as Freddy turned to us and yelled, "STARING ISN'T POLITE!" He signed my Freddy Krueger poster from the Fangoria Magazine and one of my greatest moments in my life.
  • @marklola12
Freddy basically made them both loop over and over so he had time to kill debbie and they couldn't stop him
  • @DanJackson1977
Please remember... there is no CGI in 80s horror. That was traditional FX animation and they're drawn or painted by hand on cells.. or they're Optical FX. CGI was far too primitive and expensive for that genre at the time. Freddy didnt dabble with CGI til 1994 with New Nightmare.
  • @TheBoglin
Just turning on YouTube and the first thing I see is Roxy and Tara reacting to Nightmare on Elm Street 4: today is going to be a great day. 🎉 Let's rock!
  • @SaltyDawg12
I think you guys would enjoy the Never Sleep Again documentary on how each of these films were made and all the fun behind the scenes stuff. Definitely recommend to give that a look once you finish the franchise! 👍🏻
  • This was my introduction to Freddy Krueger. The "Making of" special on the VHS rental got me into studying special effects makeup. That roach sequence still gets me.
