3:12 Bitcrushed: "I have to go.. I'm a big girl now.." Also bitcrushed: "Remember, I'll always be here for you, even if you can't see me.. Because I love you.."

I'm imagining an 80s/early 90s game where the main character has to explore the planets
-
8-bit, the only instrument Holst forgot to include in The Planets
-
Holst probably designed it for 8 bits, but technology wasn't there at the time yet.

finally, i can experience jupiter to perfect my state of more stupider

This is incredible, I'm surprised by how good Jolly Jupiter sounds in 8 bit. Great Work!!

i think this is lowkey how i’ve always perceived this piece. it just sounds like excellent gaming music.

Oh my god this sounds so wonderful. I love jupiter literally one of my comfort songs.

the waltz section at 1:42 is awesome!!

Impressive work keeping as much of the dynamic range of the original composition from being drowned out as possible. There's a ton of subtle nuance to specific sequences that tends to get lost in the noise with simple, limited chiptune voices especially in the punchy, loud bits, and i can see you tried your best to ensure as much remained legible and in tune as possible. Bloody great job, i doubt there's gonna be any way to improve on this without some absolutely insane multiplexing, heavy number crunching to eliminate unintended harmonics, and possibly breaking the cardinal rule of nes style chiptunes by increasing the number of voices permitted, and even then I'm not sure it'd be worth the effort.

It sounds like something when you defeat a final boss in Mario or sonic
-
Way too many channels to be authentic 8-bit I think but it’s cool.

3:12 "I Vow to Thee, My Country"

This is amazing, a gorgeous arrangement
-
Jupiter the video game
-
This and the other holst pieces would be perfect for any of the Elite series games.

All this makes me think of is how Koji Kondo originally wanted to use Ravels Bolero as The Legend of Zelda's theme song. Imagine the timeline if that actually happened. Many of the classic video game theme songs might have been classical renditions, instead of originial compositions. I'm glad things went the way they went, however great the classics are, new pieces are what keeps symphonical music alive. Nonetheless amazing work, you made me so happy with this rendition!
