I wish I had a sewing machine I'm going to hand sew mine but as long as it's from the heart it doesn't have to be perfect. Thanks for the tutorial

Found a sock monkey kit ages ago at a yard sale. Finally decided to make it for one of the grands for Christmas this year. Your tutorial was so well done (really appreciate no annoying music in the background!). You’re an excellent teacher. Oh - the little fella turned out super cute. May have to find some more socks for the other little kiddos!

I want to thank you for your wonderful video. I just finished my first sock monkey. My grandson 1st birthday at the end of May. I couldn't have done it without your video. It turned out really cute.
  • I made one of those about twenty some years ago and I still have 2 of the socks that my mother bought at that time and was wanting to make another one but needed a reminder of exactly how to do it. Thank you for the refresher!

That was the best presentation by this young lady, clear, detailed but not over done. She made an excellent teacher, now I can go home and make it.  The directions to the socks was so unclear and detailed, I couldn't figure it out.  Thank you very much, Lori
  • @MyLegoClub I agree! Each one is unique and has character. :) You can use regular novelty socks instead of the red heel. I actually found that the generic knee high sock I used was easier because it didn't unravel nearly as much as the original red heel did. I'll PM you a link so you can see a picture of my other monkey.
  • This video does not have a pattern. In the video I show how to make your own pattern by drawing directly on the sock.

I know this is an old video, but it’s the best one of its kind out there! So, please know that after 10 years, you’re still helping people! Thank you!

Thanks for this great refresher. I made a dozen of these for a craft sale about six years ago and found this very useful. "I'm gonna go ahead" and thank you!
