We gathered back in the studio to record another classic - this time, from Crosby, Stills, Nash on their 1969 album "Crosby, Stills, and Nash".

  • The musicianship is impeccable. You have done this wonderful song great justice.
  • Dang, folks, it's great when you open your pipes. You sure do it right. Thanks for posting.
  • Seriously, what a perfect rendition of this song. Keep making music, amazing voices, harmony, musicians! Thanks for this bright spot in our world…

1969, stationed at Camp McCoy. We'd sneak into the photo lab, where we had a stereo set up, and listen to this album, Jefferson Airplane, The Rolling Stones, Sly, Jimi, and King Crimson. This song caught the zeitgeist. Concerned, confused, stoned, idealistic, and still hopeful even though the Vietnam War, the '68 convention, Kent State, and more made it feel like the world gone mad. Six decades later, I hear this recreated lovingly and gloriously. And just like 60 years ago, we are all in deep water... and I'm still hopeful today. Hearing this puts me in a good space. Your taste, talent, and perfection are exquisite, and we are blessed by them.

Standing watch on the signal bridge of a US Destroyer on a Med cruise during wartime. We had 2 cassettes and this was one of them. Stopped counting how many times we had to rewind that cassette with a pencil. Sailing the Mediterranean at night with that song in the background will leave an impression on you. This was awesome guys. Thanks

It takes a tremendous amount of planning and work to make these videos. Thats why we love the Foxes and Fossils
  • For a very beautiful 5 minutes and 24 seconds, I was sent back in time.

Stunning rendition of the song. Well done all.
  • Absolutely brilliant. An absolute classic, covered absolutely brilliantly.
  • At 77 years old I have many groups that I love however for the past several years since i started following F&F you have become my all-time favorites. Fantastic as usual!
  • For a brief and brilliant moment, you were the song. All of you. And that is all I could have asked for..

Superb song and magnificent cover. I shed a tear for times long gone when the girls' harmonies came in. I was moved and just for a few seconds, a young man again.

Pure magic, thanks for your dedication to your craft so that we mere mortals can enjoy it all through our lives!
  • Spectacular version of Wooden Ships. As much as I loved CS&N in my teenage years, and still do, your version is the best I've ever heard.

It's ironic: 55-75 yr olds being the only musicians/singers today that can replicate songs like these, that were written and recorded back in the day by 25-35 yr olds disliked by 55-75 year olds then.

F & F really raised the bar with Wooden Ships!!!❤
