11:20 deploying it on AWS (405B model) estimated costs around 15,000 USD per month, requires 256GB RAM, 1TB storage and additional bandwidth costs for faster responses But using it as a service (as it is already deployed as a tool in AWS) it cost wayy less than chatGPT that is llama takes 0.025 INR for 1000 tokens gpt4o takes 0.4 INR for 1000 tokens (~ 400 INR for 1M tokens, u have to pay for atleast 1M tokens)

I have used Llama 2 7B parameter and fine tuned it for sentiment analysis and it is working great. I wonder how good will Llama 3.1 work with its 405 B parameters.

Thanks a lot for your contribution ❤
  • Nice summary. Open and closed present best (and worst) of both worlds. I'm exciting to start using Llama 3 so I look forward to future tutorials.

Great move by the Meta...Everyone can have the access to AI
  • @Thingwithlegs
Could you make a tutorial on how to use it or even install this? I can’t finde this anywhere, it is so technical
  • I think we can use both open source and closed source. Good to have both to know pro's and con's of them.

I found the video nice and informative. While I don't have extensive knowledge on the topic, I generally prefer open-source software, like Linux, over closed-source alternatives.

I'm not really sure what is the benefit companies like Meta get from making these models open source. Saving some engineering capacity is not Ig they are worrying about. Not sure what's the bigger motive.
