I had assumed there was something wrong or slippery with the beam given that nearly every single person that night fell off it

Did Alice just prove that she is the strongest meditator? 😂 ❤ 🇮🇹
  • Funny that from my point of view I enjoy to watch the routines with some silence after all has become a showtime everywhere. And I am glad that my favourite gymnast in the Olympics, Alice D'Amato, enjoyed the silence too since she delivers a well executed and champ attitude exercise.
  • Europeans and Asians, when they practice its always silent. Even in their local Competitions, it is silent. Applause and noise, usually are done after a routine. US Gymnasts having Music during practice is probably their thing. So their body would naturally respond when there isnt any noise to the environment during a routine. So their reasoning is acceptable.

They were cheering the every time Suni finished a move
  • Unless you’ve competed people don’t tend understand this. You have 10k people staring at you. There is NOTHING else going on besides your routine. That combined with the silence puts an immense amount of pressure on you. It messes with your head. Usually there are other events going on.

What people don't understand is a lot of Gymnast will practice and train under intense noised and loud music playing in the background just so they can get used to these loud music playing in the real world Competition. If you ever watched Gymnastics Competition you will always see there is a loud crowd cheering clapping and a lot of intense music playing while different girls are competing in different events at the same time whether it be floors High bars Vault and Beams. Even young girls will train under these intense and chaotic music playing just so they can get used to it during Competition Finals. But for some reason that day in the Event finals in Paris they decided not to play music which even Suni Lee said was so quiet that she could hear a phone ring go off . So it was nerve wrecking for these gymnast as that was only one event final and all eyes were on them which made them more nervous. The Paris Gymnastics Olympics probably turned the music off on purposed so the Americans could losed
  • Was it the beam final?? Its always dead quiet for beam finals. Qualies, team and AA have noise bc all events are going
  • During Sabrina's exercise on beam there were a lot of screams from the audience! So odd ! 💯🤬

Maybe music or background music may bother other gymnasts so maybe the world doesn’t need to always work around USA’s gymnastics
  • @Inyourlap
And how can we explain that 6 out of 8 gymnasts fell from high bar? In Tokyo it was 4 gymnasts down, including 2 falling twice.
  • @lexiechans
They can have their mistakes, but it doesn't takes the credit they reached to be at the games.

Others didn't fall off the beam. Simone and Suni Lee need to admit, they fell, it happens. I have seen you tube video's of Simone at her gym practicing and it was quiet so not sure why no music would be an issue. As elite athletes, they should be able to compete with music or without music. Personally, I have always found competitions and Olympics hectic and often thought they fell because of all the noise.
