My wife Lora had an aneurysm rupture , June 2020. Now paralyzed and cognitively impaired. We went to Myrtle Beach every year with the kids and now it can't ever happen again. Our wedding song is 'When You Say Nothing At All' by Alison Krouse. We saw her live in Wilkes Barre on our 20th anniversary. This is the most bittersweet thing to hear. I'm a wreck. My wife is not physically gone but I still miss her enormously She will never recover. If you are married don't take your spouse for granted.

Alison Krauss must have one of the purest voices in music. Simply sublime

If Alison Krauss isn't singing in heaven, I ain't going.

How could anyone possibly give this talent a thumbs down? Must be tone deaf!
  • The world's better because James Taylor wrote the song, and Allison interpreted it so beautifully.
  • I love this James Taylor song. He wrote it when his father after a phone call for help drove all the way to New York to bring James home so he could deal with his drug addiction. Everytime I hear this song I am reminded that a father's love is the most precious thing. If not the world might have lost one of the best troubadours of our time. I love this version. Alison Krauss has one of the most gorgeous crystal clear voices ever.

  • An old man who loved music, and those who did, you, my dear have a little piece of my heart
  • One of those rare people who, when they were born, had their vocation stamped upon their soul. A voice of pure magic.

The combination of dobro, country fiddle, Alison Krauss, AND James Taylor has no equal. The perfect tonic for these rocky times.
  • My Dad's family helped settle North Carolina, and many still live there. My grandmother would have loved this song.

Look at Jerry Douglas all badass singing harmony. A rare treat....lovely vocals.
  • What's so soothing for me is that my life has been so ruff and tumble...ms Alison smooths out all my rough spots and gives me peace..thank you Jesus
  • This woman has no right to sing like this, breaks my heart and repairs it all at the same time ♥️

I love James Taylor, but this is the purest and most heartfelt rendition of this song I have ever heard. Alison puts meaning into every word of every phrase. The music is alive with a palpable heartbeat.
